You need to check your phone seems one plus 8 pro has an hardware issue not a software issue.
Only reason the photo chrome got nerfed because pervs can take pics and the color filter acts like an xray.

My Oneplus 8 Pro is flawless.
I just received this update. Most garbage update ever; Photochrome functionality severely limited, but to be honest I care not about Photochrome filters.
Netflix bug announced as fixed, in reality it is not fixed. I tried to clear the cache of the app, restart it, update it, nothing works.
Other massively irritating bugs still not fixed; Issues I have: auto brightness dim, unlike stock Android it doesn't learn from your adjustments; Wear OS simply doesn't work with OnePlus phones, serious connectivity issues; for some bizarre reason, Google Animals will not be projected in your space, because the camera will refuse to read your space (???); Scrolling internet pages still buggy occasionally, because of scroll freeze.
I'll wait for a couple of months to see if OnePlus sorts out their mess and if not, I'll jump back to a phone from a manufacturer who doesn't ruin Android with their custom skin. I'll be careful to never try again anything else apart from Pixel, Sony, Motorola...
For people wondering about screen quality issues; I didn't notice any quality issues with the screen, but still, this would be the least of my problems with my garbage phone.
I really wanna buy this phone but at the same time im concerned about the screen issues, are they ever gonna be fixed?
