One hand... moreYou can access the notification bar on the xperia by swiping down anywhere on the screen not to mention side sense gives you more than enough shortcuts. You can use one hand with the Sony as easy as you can on the Samsung so there is no advantage.

One handed mode is baked into almost every Android skin in 2020.
I am talking about Samsung OneUi specifically designed for one handed usage where elements of the UI are easily accessible with one hand, never having to reach top of the screen without shrinking available screen real estate.
Here screen isn't reduced to 5 inches, it stays the same size at the same time easily handled device throughout the entire user interface.

I believe, either famous tech reviewers get paid by big companies like apple and Huwaei etc or they give biased opinions. You will hardly see these reviewers writing against them. For other phones, they will find even a tiny wrong thing and present that in a huge negative way. They will promote the shit of apple even. Huwaei has only full hd display with 16 million colours only. Many years ago phones were having those displays. No one will speak against it that they have not improved anything in that. Xperia1ii has the best music listening and games playing experience. No one will promote that.

The resultant cinematic video wasn't much impressive despite the pro mode.
Better results can be achieved on other 2020 flagships.

I want OIS as a key feature in cinema pro. Practically we shot vidoes with hands and not always have gimbal. So, it doesn't matter how good the app is, shaky video distroys everything.

Same way sites say this phone has "tall screen" "hard to use with one hand". . Its screen is shorter than S20 Ultra because both phones have same height and sony has more bezels.

This is why professionals spend thousands of dollars on professional gear. The little hacks to make cheap equipment perform well adds up to an enormous waste of time.
I don't know what Sony was thinking with the new Xperia 1 II and Pro. They have extremely ambitious and expensive goals that don't deliver. Sony's Alpha camera link software is garbage, the phone is sold globally without global bands, and no amount of current technology is going to make cellphone cameras professional grade.
