This things happen mainly for the reason they try to stuck a lot of powerfull technology in smaller and smaller cases.
Now I don't see anything than iPhone funs triyng to troll on the problem and Samsung ones saiyng it's fake ... like probably Samsung funs trolled over the iPhone 4 heating problem and Apple funs said it's fake. And so on...
The Dublin where the guy is from is not UK is Republic of Ireland so accident happend in Republic of Ireland. Am I wrong ???
2 posibilities I can think of: hardware defect or cheap chargers and mounts. Good thing It got replaced with a new one.
how do we know this is true? everyday we are hearing some antipropaganda about S3 .i think some people are doing their best to shit on S3.in the other hand apple's efforts is well known to slow down S3.it feels like a cold war days in between east and west to me.
This guy probably supplied higher voltage to phone just to get new phone or something
As has already been mentioned, most likely a cheap power lead or even the wrong one.I've seen cheap crappy Chinese leads do extensive damage to the cars wiring as well as any devices plugged into them. The lesson here is to only ever use one with the same brand as the device plugged into it,or more specifically make sure it's designed for that specific model.
If this sort of thiong still happens after all this,THEN you know who to blame.
I think that last sentance should be...
If you own a Galaxy S III and it starts to overheat DONT PUT IT NEXT TO YOUR HEAD!
hahaha......the fat lady farted due to constipation. and the crazy fans of buggy robot would still say.. "it smells awesome" :P

The guy said:
It may actually have been caused by a combination of my car mount and my cars heating system.

It's called S-fire, dummies! let's you light a marble white flame suited for special occasions like birthdays, major blackout and stuff. Also comes in pebble blue flame when you have the blue one.:)

..he wants a new phone so he wont admit it anyway
This is pretty awesome. It's the ultimate survival kit, you get lost in the middle of nowhere...samsung offers you a device to make fire. :)) Probably this feature can be activated using S Voice. "Me lost, me cold, HELP!" => phone goes on fire :))
