ThePong, 15 Jul 2020Oppo does lead in charging technology. Well done. Unfortunately its software is half-baked.I've heard that ColorOS is good now.

50W and 65W were enough.
But if the batteries stay below 40°C, I guess it's fine.

Fast charging is a good thing. Super fast charging is just a gimmick.
A phone has more important things than just charging really fast. And in my book, a phone should check other boxes, before fast charging.
But I understand how some people get so quickly mesmerize about gimmicky things. Is the same in life. Is like when they see some chrome rims on a car and they immediately think it is the most important and beautiful thing to have on their car too. No it's not.

Awesome ... Now this is Innovation.
For all you people who complaint about battery longevity. Theoretically, you guys are right. However Oppo has been providing 50W charging since around 2 years if I'm not mistaken.
I have a Realme X2 Pro which is an amazing device comes with in the box 65W charging.
Have been using it for almost 8 months now and no battery degradation seen yet.
Oppo's solution of split charging is phenomenal.

Since every smartphone, almost all, are passive cooled , this 125W will crush the battery health in 1 year
Easy to test...use this for 1 year and after, check battery health or buy a new exact smartphone like this one tested...and see the difference...
Its physics...in this case its chemistry ...not overtime more is good...125W is better for bigger battery, not for 4000-5000maH
