Oh my. Serious Sam is still around, I remember playing next encounter as a child on the GameCube. The Xbox 360 versions were pretty good from what I remember.

Google also talked about "Negative Latency" i.e lower than 0 ms. How did that turn out?
"It does not surpase any PC game yet, because developers don't care about Stadia exclusives as it is a minor platform for now"
Modern game engines easily scale across resolutions. It doesn't take much effort on part of the devs at all. Even straight unoptimized ports should perform better if raw power is there.
If Stadia were capable Google would've made sure to fund a proper port of at least 1 single game that surpasses PC version, in order to generate hype and showcase the power of the platform. It would've been a huge selling point to outperform PC, yet they didn't.

It is cloud based system for Christ sake, google lends its servers processing power to developers as much as they need. You don't really understand computing or service itself. It does not surpase any PC game yet, because developers don't care about Stadia exclusives as it is a minor platform for now, here is your reference https://www.capacitymedia.com/articles/3824533/google-launches-cloud-based-gaming-service-stadia try to use your brains next time as I am tired of explaining basic stuff to your tiny brains

Where's the source for this?
That's not how it works. No Stadia game has come even close to its PC version so far. The 4K version of Destiny 2 for eg. renders at 1080p "medium settings" equivalent of PC version.

Developer have all cloud power acess it needs for developing games, it can stack reference specs as use as much as needed for the game development it is theoretically unlimited and up to developer to decide how much game processing will need. User gets a stream of that game on his stadia supported device, very simple. No console can match that or PC, just please do the researches before prividing stupid comments, problems with stadia is internet speeds and latency not limitations of hardware, meaning low user base and low intrest of developers, but as it is stand it has theoretically unlimited processing power for developers, Google stated it and if you want to argue about it call google and tell them that.
Vegetaholic, 17 Jul 2020Lol :D it is streaming service, box itself just streams games it is just a reference specs gam... more1. There's no unlimited Google computing power that you speak of. An individual user doesn't get more than his fair share i.e the reference specs. The USP of Stadia is accessibility not power. Stadia has its advantages but it's not going to push any limits that PC can't.
2. For the sake of compatibility and consistent UX, Stadia requires batch upgrades which means it can't upgrade at the same pace as PC hardware. They'd have to wait till they can offer the upgraded hardware to most of their users. Replacing the whole hardware platform all that frequently doesn't make sense anyway.
3. High-end GPUs have massive die sizes and thus low yields, which is why they can't be produced in large enough quantity for a mass market service like Stadia. Not that it'd be financially viable for any company seeking profit. There's a reason Stadia was outdated at launch and will remain perpetually inferior to high-end PCs.
4. Image quality loss due to video compression results in lower graphical fidelity than the hardware is capable of.
5. High frame rate gaming on Stadia will require much more bandwidth & data or even greater compression.
Google can easily upgrade the hardware their blades run on anytime.

Next year they can increase reference specs to 20tflop and 8 core specs if want to fight with ps5 and xbox one series x and it is definitely more powerful when any next gen console. Do your researches before posting inacurate information :)

Stadia has a 2.7 GHz CPU and 10.7 TF Vega GPU which is inferior to both next-gen consoles and current PC hardware. Then there's the matter of significant quality loss due to video compression and added latency.
Stadia, 15 Jul 2020How does this Stadia works on regular smartphone? The actual computation is happening on Google's servers. Think of YouTube for Gaming. You do your controller input on your device, it's being sent in real-time to the Google STADIA servers, they compute the "happenings" in real-time, and ate being streamed back to your phone like a live video stream.
hmm, 15 Jul 2020News about this bs would be if they open it up for global market and not have it based on few ... moreBecause Google needs to have appropriate back-end servers in those countries. For STADIA to work, it demands low-latency back-end internet speeds. Which isn't available in all countries. (i.e. fiber optics mainlines). It may change, once 5G cellular service is deployed everywhere.
Another factor is the country's legal framework; does it support a service like STADIA, like purchase of goods that aren't really yours and only run on STADIA service? Meaning legal support if pure virtual services and goods.
I have stadia and I love the principle of it. It works well when I use it and some games look amazing (destiny 2 really does look lush on here) but apart from the rare few, most of the games we get look like mobile games. Or Nintendo games. Why?!? Stadia can give us amazing looking games but seems to loath stretching their system beyond cartoon platformers.
Is it any surprise that with this dull a catalogue, the player base is so limited. Even my pro subscription, which I keep renewing in the hope of its greatness; is starting to wain and may soon be cancelled. I'll be sticking with playstation for now at least.
Stadia, 15 Jul 2020How does this Stadia works on regular smartphone?Connect a controller, launch the app and play. Or touchscreen controls can be enabled as well.
It is kind of a future as you can create games on unlimited google computing power. Litterally you can build game which will be not limited by existing console or PC hardware limitations if developer would be dedicated to it. Problem is internet speeds itself in most parts of the world and very poor popularity of service. Maybe in 5-10 years time once Xbox and Playstation will jump to service only consoles like Stadia, but everything will depend on global internet infrasturucture developments
