Truth is, they are cool. Even if they use a weaker chipset and more basic optical camera.

They look cool and it must be liberating to own a phone you can toss around a bit.

Certainly something different.

Also, anyone that breaks phones frequently could use one, and I know a lot of such people.

Anonymous, 17 Jul 2020I'm curious, what is it used for?You can spot dampness in buildings, hot pipes behind a wall, switchboards and cables running hot, check machinery is not running hot, find animals in the dark, check if a fire is properly out or where the source is, etc etc etc..

New upgrade may bring better resolution and higher frame rate. At least some fun after oneplus panicked for bringing more than users paid for.

L-L London-Lover, 17 Jul 2020Who uses this kind of phones? It's just a question. Not many people, but if you ever been on a building site you'd know phones there have a very short lifetime. Dust, Sand, Concrete, Water, flying sparks, climbing scaffolding in 12m+ heights. I personally leave my phone in the car. Wish I had a CAT (or Ule) phone for the site.

apprise, 17 Jul 2020Tbh I thought it would be very obvious who would use these phones but clearly it's not ..... moreI worked 3 years at the construction site, nobody used such phones. Not only are they much worse in relation price price quality than others, it is rarely during work time and the desire to play with the phone. Even if you would like to use some tricks that such a phone offers, there are more specialized devices that will do it better

CAT phones are so expensive and it's not even them who makes it . It's by a company by Bullitt who has the license to make phones in their name. Paying a lot of money just for a name.

You're better of paying less and get the Ulefone Armor 9 tbh
