What I already said 2 replies ago: Bottom line, if you exclude the proprietary charger and cables, you get the same as everybody else except you have less battery for the same weight and space.
You are promoting a CLOSED STANDARD that precludes standard cables and one charger to charge multiple devices, otherwise you're asking that consumers sacrifice battery capacity and pay for extra support for NOTHING.

You are the one wanting to charge a ridiculous 3 devices from a bundled mobile charger.
Pretty sure you are using no more than 18W, hence you are triggered so much.
iOS Succckkks, 25 Jul 2020What if you forget your standard USB PD charging cable?
What if you lose your phone itself?
... moreOpen standard cables are far easier to come by, they also come bundled no matter which company you buy from.
You're always reaching for your phone which means you're always aware of your phone, unlike cables.
I haven't heard in the news about a laptop exploding for over a decade. Which rock are you crawling from under?
You need to look in the mirror. Every one of those scenarios are far less likely to happen than the scenarios I mentioned. If I'm making excuses, you obviously make the ridiculous ones. I stand with the interest of the masses while you're aggressively pushing a closed standard with questionable benefits.

What if you lose your phone itself?
What if your laptop breaks down or explodes while charging?
What if your home gets swallowed by a dinosaur while using 18W charging?
What if the earth stopped moving tomorrow?
Go home, you are salty about your phone not supporting 65W or 100W charging.

What if you want to use magnetic adapters instead(the only magnetic adapter on the market that supports 60W by PD costs about as much as a charger, is intended for Macbooks, and it probably doesn't support any other protocol at this power)? What if you plug it in intending to charge it for "10min" but forgot to swap to your other devices and fall asleep? Bottom line, if you exclude the proprietary charger and cables, you get the same as everybody else except you have less battery for the same weight and space.
I support Asus's approach here in providing a battery as big as possible with reasonably fast generic charging and a wide variety of options designed to minimize battery degradation. Fast charging has largely ceased being relevant from 25W+ and certainly from 45W+ when there are clearly other compromises, and whatever wattage being cited only applies to the first 50%(max 70%) of the charge anyway after which it would need to quickly taper off.

Why would I worry about cable? When everything is bundled inside the box?
Besides it supports USB PD when you don't have proprietary charging.
Both solutions available.
Same for 120W charging.
It supports variety of other standards.
It's the most advanced fast charging solution available right now.
This isn't Apple refusing to give chargers in box or shipping with Weak 5W chargers.
Nobody cares about charging overnight now.
Even if you forget, 100W gives you all day battery life with just 10 min of changing.
iOS Succks, 21 Jul 2020It's designed to do so. Heat staying at charger to prevent phone from overheating. VOOC... moreYeah, the main limitations with these technologies are that they need special cables(5A) for the higher current, that they force design restraints(splitting a cell into two to handle the extra current wastes internal space of a device), and that the dedicated chargers can generally only charge one device at a time, far less efficient than a GaN power brick supporting open standards that could simultaneously charge 3, taking up the same single wall socket at about the same weight and size. If you're on the go, with a laptop, a tablet and a smartphone all supporting USB charging, you definitely don't want a dedicated charger for one particular device when you could just take one and three generic cables to top up everybody in a single night.
S Yu, 21 Jul 2020The heat needs to go somewhere, if it doesn't heat up the phone, check the charger. It's designed to do so.
Heat staying at charger to prevent phone from overheating.
VOOC and its different alternative names rebranded fast charging is the safest and the best on the market right now.
stupid innovations. LG V20 is way ahead of this. 5 seconds and voila 100% battery

Hey staff, just a reminder that your latest voting widget doesn't work in China, after voting the circle spins indefinitely. I'll have to assume it's the Great Firewall at work again.

USB power delivery is definitely inferior and heats up the phone as high as 18 deg C above room temperature during charging while VOOC stays cool at 3 deg C above room temperature.
If your battery is empty, a quick charger is nice to have. But I'd rather have a 8000mAh battery in my phone lasting up to 3 days and have to charge it 6 hours every third night. Most people sleep 6-8 hours every night, most people have energy nearby. But when not at home - how do you charge your phone? Well with powerbanks that mostly dont support the latest and greates quick charge. Also you don't usually have an energy source nearby whenevery ou need your phone (hiking, biking). Big batteries are the way to go. Charging 1-2 hours is quick enough for many.
I think 25 to 30 watt charger is enough for a smartphone
these Chinese companies are crazy

All i know is that the last 3-4 generations have amazing battery life. Even the iphone 7 plus had an amazing battery life.
You mean the fact that 4 year old iphone 6's had a bad battery? Like you said all batteries degrade. But only iphones are kept long enough to see the effects. 4 year old androids are usually in the bin cos they don't worth a penny/ battery is terrible/ do not support the latest apps and are way to slow.

One of best batteries.
1500 eur phones have barely 3000 mAh compared to competitors where 100 eur devices have 5000 mAh and same or better endurance rating.
