AnonD-920712, 18 Jul 2020Not like air drop in iPhone, im very sure only less people will know this app. So when i want ... moreBruh it's not gonna be an app. It's gonna be an update for Google Play Services on your phone and should work for every Android phone from I think 6.0 and up. It'll be baked right into your sharing options and you will notice it
Anonymous, 19 Jul 2020why is it called airdrop and not idrop hmm strange well I guess it is like dropping off files wirelessly (like in thin air) and i initial is mostly added to devices. whereas, Air initial is used for most of the scenarios where lightweight or wireless is involved (iPad Air, MacBook Air, AirPort, AirDrop, Etc.)
It's been on the OnePlus 6 for some time , but I'm just the only one having it. Not the s9 nor the mi A2 has it
I Think The Same Feature With Different Name Is Already In Use In Google Files App(Share Menu). It Uses The Same Functionality Like Using Both Bluetooth And WiFi To Transfer Files.
Great. This file sharing feature between android phones, whatever brand, should have been possible since a long time. For now, it works only between phones of the same brand. So great !
Wifi Direct works extremely well between my Samsung phones... Fast and easy. But it can be difficult to use with other brands. That is why i stick with Samsung.
I never use, but there's an app called Files by Google which is doing the same job of file transfer.

why is it called airdrop and not idrop hmm strange
AmeliaBuns, 18 Jul 2020hopefully my note 10 will get it by the end of 2022samsung has it's own quick share system.
Sometimes I feel like it I have already seen this feature years back when I had Huawei mate series .
AmeliaBuns, 18 Jul 2020hopefully my note 10 will get it by the end of 2022Ur joking ik, but it'll prolly get very soon. It doesn't have to go through the same process as version update. My xiaomi phones already got it
WiFi direct like?
red alert
its tied to google playstore and not an android feature.
Not like air drop in iPhone, im very sure only less people will know this app. So when i want to share files to my friend, we will use bluetooth or whatsapp as usual. Because my friend didnt even know MiDrop from xiaomi.
It's been on my 3xl for over a week
I have it
hopefully my note 10 will get it by the end of 2022
