Same story like almost any of those Chinese sub brands.
Sky rocket the prices of the first model and replace is with a new series for the midrange.
When the nord series gonna reach the 1000 dollar price tag they gonna replace it with another midrange series and so on.

Krk, 20 Jul 2020Oneplus is just an island, Apple is the Sea - U need compete with them, Please don't hype... moreI think they will never be able to compete with the levels of Samsung/Apple/Pixel cameras. They used to have their own niche in the market during one plus one or three days, but their devices aren't that competitive anymore when POCO started to fill in the void as a real bang for your buck flagship killer. It's a shame, OP got so expensive, and they act like they are premium, but when you hear all those stories about poor customer support and hardware failures being treated as the customer's fault, it was really hard for me to justify any OP phone with the same price as a premium flagship.

Its just a phone. Looks same like past 3 years of iphones and androids. Phones are way over hyped with the desing and all. Still... This is my choise for my next phone.

Better save up and buy the flagship version, current OP8 series or the previous year's OP7T series even, rather than a half-baked one.
Even if you get the same oxygenOS similar to on the top variants, without proper powerful hardware to fully take advantage of it, is just a waste. And below $500? For what it's offering, the device should have been around $300 range.

It is going to be a failure. Dual punch hole cameras design have mostly failed since they consume lot of screen space.

765G is the most overpriced chipset ever, most of the devices with that thing is pricier than last year's flagships.
