Anonymous, 22 Jul 2020Even 4GB Ram is useless.Say that to all the phones with 4gb who are working perfectly. 4gb is the minimum, yeah, but still fits in

android developer should allow users to delete all the GARBAGE app that not everyone wants/need like google apps, duos, drives, play movies, play music, etc. and all the JUNK applications from the UI developer/brand owner without having to damage the warranty because it all really burdens smartphones RAM and ROM.

Viper, 27 Jul 2020They will not be able to provide proper optimization cause in the android their are many many ... moreAgreed. But they can help us remove bloat easily, right?

Most of us can find ways except that they break things... The trend right now is connected bloat. If you remove their account app which consumes internet and resources, viola! They mess with your contacts! WTH is this. Why not just each app do its work?

With great difficulty I managed to debloat my Redmi 2 Prime, and its runs so well now.

iOS works lot better in that matter. It might be less open, and largely "useless" if I might say so without offending ipeople, but it is definitely optimised.

My old version Android is still doing ok ok at 2 GB RAM... but its on 720p display. It never hangs, does get slow though rarely. And whatsapp opens a bit late, but what else? nothing.

The question will still remain: Why is Android continuously getting bloated with higher versions, and who's asking for such features we never even use?
I'm yet to meet a user who uses a feature my Android Kitkat doesn't have. So, who is using all these improvisations? US Gov.??

Widgets from iOS 14 still can't match the same experience as Android widgets from a decade back. That is just one of the things.

You dweebs love making shit up based on what you read or hear from other like-minded dweebs. More RAM is always a good thing when it's necessary. If Apple increases the amount of RAM in their devices then it must mean that its OS and apps are getting more memory- and resource-hungry due to more added features and functionalities. They're not adding more RAM just for the sake of adding more RAM. Android and its apps are also getting fatter and fatter by the day, but that doesn't mean companies should prematurely introduce 12GB-16GB devices just yet. What are they going to pitch to the consumer when Android finally does need more than 8GB of RAM? Anyway, the bottom line is that Apple's OS will always be more efficient and optimized than Google's will ever be no matter how much RAM they both use.
