Peachy001, 23 Jul 2020I hate glossy glass. Looks tacky to me. It won't be cheap looking plastic, look at the images. The images are useless until we see the phone in real life, plenty of times that hardware looked better on images than in real life.
With the drop in price of Note 10 lite in India 37k ($500) with citi bank discount it comes to 32k (approx. $430), the Note 20 Lite will be priced around 52k ($700) for sure. Still at that price anyone would prefer the Note 10 Lite or the Oneplus 8 instead.
there goes my hope for smallish regular Note20, so once again no smallish Samsung with good camera, no curved display and centered hole/notch and good batetry
I love Samsung....but this is embarrassing, unless it costs like 500 dollars it's going to be ridiculous.
Samsung is slowly becoming Apple while Apple is slowing becoming Samsung.

Why does Samsung want us to hate the Note series? This is clearly more a higher Galaxy A tier (A81/A91) than a late 2020 flagship. I think Samsung is destroying the "Note" brand on purpose because so many chinese OEMs use that name for their sub 400$ phones and that hurt the image or it will at least in the coming years.
Everybody cries about a simple plastic back but they praise the iPhone SE for being the best smartphone of the year. Seriously?
Note will be a better phone with or without a plastic back. That piece of plastic maybe could bring back removable battery and will be more affordable than the competition. Who says that will cost 1000€? pretty sure that the starting price will be around 700-800€ and in 3 or 5 months around 500€. A quite good bargain to beat any Android on the market.
Either Samsung are planning to make this device affordable (500€ max) or they simply don't want you to even think about it.
Glass is hell lot slippery and prone to scratches and breakage. Plastic is better I think and if it lowers the price then it’s cherry on top.
AnonD-807890, 23 Jul 2020And there it is, the S10e all over again. Samsung made sure the base version looks as cheap as... moreThe S10e, the last compact, premium build, with flat screen flagship from Samsung. And possibly my last phone from the mark...

ThePonk, 23 Jul 2020So many people defending Samsung for using a plastic back and removing key features in the new... more$500 is absolutely impossible. $700 would be something I would bet on for a device that hasn't had a plastic back for atleast 6 years.
Time to leave note series...as much as i love mu current note, my next phone won't be a note anymore
Ridiculous plastic only good for ppl who keep dropping their phones or dont care abt scratches. Too much cost cutting is done by samsung which is reflected to consumers.
Real.Talk, 23 Jul 2020...and I like removable metal backs with powerful high dB wall-penetrating infused antenna lines...Do you know of any phone that comes with such a thing?
I use a glass-backed Galaxy Note and a plastic-backed A Series.
I actually prefer the plastic one and never thought I'd say that.
Glass back is shite - drop it and your done for.
Metal or Plastic for me.
