Although i do think this phone is overhyped. I must say people in the comments section are being way too harsh to it. They're acting like this is the worst phone of the year, while in reality it is far from that. Try to judge it without a bias, and you'll see a good product that just isn't special in any way.

Not everybody is wowed by PR kool-aid like you. When wireless tech will be equivalent to wired tech, only then can you start to consider removing wired tech. Newer isn't better.
With top-of-the-line hardware, I guess wireless music is good enough, especially with compression pre-applied to the music files anyway (it's not like every of those music streaming services offer Hi-Res anyway).

Another thing, why is the only really positive answer is "I'm definitely getting one" - that's not what everyone with a positive impression will do, which can be a bit off-putting as an answer for some people.

The whole new category of phones appeared this year a that is "affordable 5G phone", based on SD765 or SD765G. Mi 10 Lite also belongs here beside ones you mentioned in the article.

They're trying to market it like it's the best deal around, but some older gen flagships are the sweeter deal now.
They also marketed it as a futureproof product banking on the 5G and 2 years of updates but as mentioned, stronger CPU/GPU is generally more important factor in futureproofing a current phone.
Moving on to another camp, IPSE2020 is having the edge of event more futureproof specs (sans the small RAM) and another half a decade of official updates, for almost the same price (at least in my country).

The price is getting too close to budget flagship like Poco2 and previous gen flagships like Mi9 is actually cheaper yet more powerful than it.
There's no legit harm in getting 5G ready phone (sans some claimed the extra heat issues?) but paying a premium for it over more powerful chipsets are totally uncalled for. A phone is more futurerpoof if it has decent CPU/RAM/Storage than been 5G ready.

If the phone had a 8mp telephoto instead of the useless macro and depth sensors, and a hybrid sdcard slot like the Oneplus X, it would have been worth the hype. I would have bought the device too. They got so close to making a device with all the right specifications but flubbed at the very last moment. Those two dumb cameras signify that the phone cares more about numbers than actual consumer usage.

pill type dual front camera is unnecessary. single camera is enough. glass back not necessary, plastic back would have lowered the price further. Anyways , we all use backcover. we expected 25k for 8/128 gb version.

I don't even play Fortnite and I don't even like rappers like Tekashi 6ix9ine. I've been aware enough to go through the Beats by Dre overhype era where audiophiles tell everyone to stop saying Beats is the next best thing or something because the audio is nothing compared to Audio Technica, Beyerdynamic, AKG, Sennheiser, Meze, and I listened to the audiophiles at heart.
I'm sorry, but my gen is just as horrible as the millennials you see on social media. You don't have to forcibly mold yourself to do that, that wireless generation thing you're talking about.
Oh yeah, I'm still defending the headphone jacks on flagships because I still have my working ATH-M50X from 2015. Best sounding cans that sound way better than all wireless headphones.
