It does look cool, but as others have stated, it might not give the most accurate representation of the phones. Bezel size, the amount of curvature, back panel color shades, etc might be inaccurate from time to time...

Still, I won't mind if you replace the 360 Degree view with this...

Adguard or adblock is blocking this thing to work in this site. I have seen this in kimovil site and in there this 3d modeling isnt blocked by these adblockers programs

I can't properly inspect the back of the phone on certain angles because the light source doesn't hit it so it's too dark.
If you could add more light sources and make the phone model properly illuminated at all angles, that would be nice.

Awesome, great work !
I read some peoples have issues with it, it work well for me with Vivaldi (it is a Chromium browser though, so it isn't surprising).

Edit :
Also, what about converting the multiple pictures from rotating platform + rotation in the vertical axis (so many passes like a polar satellite would do) to a 3D model ?
I mean, with many high resolution pictures in almost every angles possible for each X degrees, there is more than enough data for a good algorithm to transform it into a 3D model and complete easily the in-between angles.
Picture to 3D is a well mastered process nowaday, and the more pictures, the more detailed and accurate the 3D model will be.
Funnily enough, you could use a smartphones with 3D Recognition sensors like the iPhone to get both depth data and its camera for the color and combine the two, so things like USB and Jack port inside would properly be modeled, and since all smartphones have more or less similar features, a purposefully made software/app could be specialized to work even better and faster at it.

On my desktop it's not showing on Firefox but works on Opera. Cool stuff, but I'm afraid the models might give unrealistic depictions of bezel size (they're always razor thin in renders but huge in real life).

Also issues: on my a40, after I wrote a comment and came back to the article using the back button (which btw thank you a lot for repairing it, 3 months ago was very buggy), the phone dissapeared. I couldn't see it at all, just a black screen (or grey I'm not sure, I have the dark mode on, which I'd like to see on the site as well) where the 3D phone should have been. I could also see writing in some boxes where it said which color you could choose, and I could even without seeing the phone, I could see the box that I pressed go darker. Well I refreshed and I could see it again, after a little wait, still haven't tried it on a computer but could only turn it from left to right (not all 3D every way) but I think I could do that when I pinched, but that caused some insta-zoom, which left me seeing the camera bump upside down, so I guess it's 3D after all. When you make it full screen, dear god, everything becomes whity, you have to scroll up, realise that it's veeeery zoomed in and when you pinch nothing happens but it moving around like crazy, no zooming out. And also if I scrolled down, I could see pictures from the 360 view, not sure why since it's a movable pic, not a lot of pics put one near the other like I saw. All that I saw on an a40. I will try my black shark 2 and then the motorola one macro later, will update if anything else/something less happens

I was really sorry the 360 spins disappeared about half a year ago, but this is great news, this is the perk I'll love most about the site!
