My fitbit is totally broken after this update to 20001.88.11 and the IoS update to 14.7.1
It cannot sync, and the clock loses about 4 hours a day.

FitBit Charge 3 is useless. cannot read screen in daylight. Fit Bit went to crap after Google bought the company. Tried normal and auto.

I to have a fitbit charge 3 that I cannot see outdoors. If this doesn't get a software update to fix it soon then my long association with fitbit will end. Garmin may soon have a new customer.

I'll NEVER buy fitbit again. I can't see my screen in daylight no matter what setting it's on. It's completely useless to me. Now that garmin comes in smaller sizes, I'm switching over.

Now there is no setting, reset or other option that will make the Charge3 readable in sunlight. And for some of us....the "Auto" is now reversed. It dims in sunlight and brightens in the dark. Go figure.

I love the Charge 3, especially the stat heavy clock face. But it changed from a little difficult to read, but manageable, to zero visibility outdoors. It is of little use to a jogger as is. Sad.

now im on my 3rd fitbit charge 3 this one is less then 7 days and again dim screen and no notifications received on it this must be a fault with them all my 1st one was on for 11 months 2nd lasted 5 months but this one only has worked for 5 days tried all the trouble shooting pinching it while attached to charger for 15 seconds but no joy any other ideas on how to get it to work its on if 1st charge up and has only used 50% of it battery since i got it 7 days ago

The lack brightness on the Charge 3 has been a problem for some time. I hope this comment will you save you time and frustration.
There are 3 brightness settings:
Auto: works reasonably well when it's sunny; the device becomes unreadable when it's not
Normal: works reasonably in low lights, but is unreadable in the sun
Dim: go figure...!!
In short the Charge 3 is unfit for purpose...

I didn’t wear my Fitbit for 3/4 days, it didn’t run out of battery. Put it on and the app needed to start all over again. I did this and now the sleep part isn’t displaying on my phone and the step count isn’t showing, it has changed to calories burned. TIA.
