Allowing the shutter to stay open for long without needing to increase in iso which results in cleaner details and less noise in a picture.

I'd definitely suggest the Nord.
Two of the most important things going in favor of the Nord are the AMOLED screen and Oxygen OS.
Pair that software up with a 90hz screen and you've got a clean smooth phone that will last you 2-3 years at least, easily.
Been using oneplus 6 myself since the past 2 years and it's almost as smooth as it was during the first days. Once you go Oxygen OS, there's probably no coming back. I admit the phone has been over-hyped but I'd still buy it for that fluid software experience.
Other than that Nord has the UD fingerprint scanner which is comparatively faster and more reliable than a side mounted one. X50 has the 120 refresh rate but once you realize how much it takes a toll on the phone's battery, you'd hardly want to keep it above 90hz. Nord also has OIS which the X50 doesn't, which means pictures from Nord would come out better, but we'd have to wait for the camera samples for that.

Plenty of phon... moreDespite the name, OIS isn't just about stabilization, but rather getting the finer detail in focus while in lower light conditions. That difference is very evident in practical use. Phones with OIS yield in-focus pictures as quickly as if they were in good light (the same computational photography tricks can optionally be used to further enhance the results). In turn, phones without OIS either have quick pictures that lack finer detail/are blurry, or you have to wait and hope the background processing doesn't eff up the picture (e.g., if it's a moving object you can easily miss your opportunity to take a good picture).
That's also why OIS is usually a flagship only feature: although OIS can make the difference, it is expensive and budget minded people may prefer to spend that money somewhere else in the spec sheet. It is really impressive that the Nord had OIS at this price-point; that makes it a phone designed to be great in practical use, not the spec sheet.
