Investors know where the political winds are blowing, and they always want to minimize risk.

shappy, 25 Jul 2020I'm very much excited for the Apple laptops with Apple chip :)Yeah hopefully it will be a big improvement. MacBook Air is underwhelming with limited CPU power. Pro versions are rather very good, considering small price gap (assume entry-level version), but a noticeable power improvement (still intel-based CPU, mind) and you get a useful Touch Bar. The display also covers 100% P3 color space. The colors on the display of the Air looks a bit washed out.

And i5 is a throttled chip with poor design.
But Ryzen 5 and 7 series will be automatically faster than either the A series chip and intel's if I suggest. Integrated GPU are also better (Vega 5 outperform UHD Graphics 630)

The performance of their chips are already on-par with i5 chips from intel. It could just be a matter of years for them to match i7 in performance. The iGPU in their chips already outperform iGPUs in intel and amd chips and they should be able to incorporate discrete GPUs from AMD and Nvidia in their systems if they wish to do so.

They're phasing out intel based Macs within the next two years. Microsoft failed because they continued to support x86 architecture and not moving fully to ARM like Apple.

No need for ugly notch or punch holes. And what a difference makes a smartphone with a forehead compared to a bezzelless smartphone with a blacked out notch?
You still can have a notch free disolay with the notification bar implemented in to the virtual bezzel out of the way when using the phone?
Oooh wait, for that you need an android:D

No need for ugly notch or punch holes. The world hates bezels and they refuse to copy someone like Meizu's 16 series of flagships and besides, FaceID sensors are too thick for Meizu's razor thin bezels and Apple wants to be as All-screen as possible while not compromising the features such as FaceID.
The only time Apple will redesign is when Underscreen Cameras are ready for use. I mean, did you see LG Signature TVs? The panels are practically like a one way mirror where you see the content while the camera sees you clearly.
