Doesn't matter what material it is made of, even Samsung A50 with plastic frame last year didn't bend or crack.
Aside from the software, the phone is cheaply built. Great to know your Poco F2 Pro and iPhone SE does not permanently bend and crack under stress.
Looks like just another 1+ phone pulled out from Oppo F15 desgin, Plastic and cheap plastic. Why India should buy the e-waste from any other nation. Enough, bring some quality to products, let them live some life. Nobody pays 30K to a plastic phone that has nothing spectacular just OxygenOS. Get something functional 1+ dont fall into race with Oppo, Vivo though they are your cousins.
Run, users, run!!! Run away, buy something else and save your cash!!! Get something like Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite or anything with aluminium frame, better build quality and lower price at the same time from REAL brands. OnePlus just hit the rock bottom this year...
Amazing how jerryrigeverything became the deciding factor in buying a smartphone. It shows how well respected he is. Hats off to Zack, well done mate.
Haxnage, 27 Jul 2020Plastic frame buddy. Buy it but dont dend it. *bend it
BBK hype train screeched into the station.
Informed travellers told it to get bent.
kupfernigk, 27 Jul 2020Kevlar won't help with bending, and most polycarbonate is glass fibre reinforced anyway. T... moreIssue is that OnePlus didn't pay attention to structural strength, you can have plastic phone that won't bend.

Flamington, 27 Jul 2020Ah..the plastic body. Atleast the Asus Zenfone 6 had an Aluminum body so the ZF 7 should have ... moreI have Asus phones with metal body. And the screen cracked on a very mild bend. Despite the screen had like a really small crack, it fail to display and I had to replace it. And their poor international support doesn't help either that I had to took to 3rd party to speed things up. Both me and my family had cracked screen that still manage to display that were worse then Asus. Not to say Asus is bad, but both metal case and Asus phone are no exception to damages, and if you want to take that argument further, why don't you bend your Zenfone 6 like the video and send us an upload to see how the screen/phone cope?
The problem isn't in using a plastic frame. Most phones used to come with plastic frames back a while. They didn't bend though. Meanwhile some phones came with aluminium frames that managed to bend. It's all about quality of materials & having a solid foundation.
OnePlus certainly could've done better here...
Anonymous, 27 Jul 2020Nope its worth every penny , name another brand with 3 years updates and international support ?Keep dreaming, it is officially will be supported for 2 years and another year for security patches, pretty much on par with any major OEM support for their phones

Oneplus nord is just another samsung phone for expensive price
I found funny things about Nord
Expectation: Their team boasting their design as if nord was a pinnacle of design in its class
Reality: just a reskinned (or rebranded?) realme X50 pro
facepalm*
Everybody and their mother is hyping this phone when it's just another run of the mill smartphone.
The only good OnePlus phone was the first one
