I think that just proves Samsung's size and volume in this area provided them with much better component pricing than Moto/Lenovo. Given how long Samsung has been working on this screen tech, it's also possible these are low/no profit models to seed and grow the segment so Samsung can eventually recoup all of the R&D capital invested.

Move the cameras to the chin, this will allow for more powerful cameras.

Man, 1500 bucks again, I feel it coming

Still the Mid-range S765 chipset ? Samsung proved that foldable can be fitted S8XX(+)socs
Still the potatoes camera ? Samsung proved -----------------------------
Still the door hinge ? Samsung proved ----------------------
Still the micro battery ? Samsung proved --------------

It wouldn't be a problem if Samsung didn't proved that you can have
a foldable with flagship specs.

But they did, and they priced it similarly as RAZR.
Which prove that Motorola's approach is either poor or overpriced. Both ?

They can either price it down, where it belong,
or fight (and loose) the Z Flip 5G with similar pricing.

At 800/900 it would sell like hot cakes. But nearly twice that, it's just a joke.

I ... moreHell will freeze over before you'll see me, or most other sensible people, with a useless 5" screen in the year 2020. Get with the program, gramps. Your mobile is for more than sending texts and receiving telephone calls, see. :)
You need a big screen and that is where the greatness of a folding display comes in. Big screen, tiny device. Best of both worlds.

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2020i don't see a demand for foldable screen phonesI don't see it as well with today's prices and durability issues, but someday it will be a decent product line of its own.

But the Razr... I don't see the appeal of the device as well. It has a small battery, questionable hinge durability and its only esim capable, which makes it impossible to use in my country.
