Most big brands made very expensive flagships... Now they are surprised sales go down...
Not sure about others but I personally die for a good upgrade but can't find one!
1.Software: Android at best lives for 3 years (after that phone is vulnerable to all kind of attack) so is it worth paying $1000 for only 3 yeatrs? I might be able to justify that if it is pure Android.
2.Battery: almost all new phones are as bad as my 5 year old phone, at least my phone has replacable battery! Besides, Android is still terrible at battery consumption.
3. Display: I hate nodge. There is 0 phone without a nodge and pure Android. (Android 1)
4. Camera: Did a side by side comparison and on many occasions my old phone takes better photos than a few new ones. Are mobile Cameras actually degrading in quality?!
So, it is not the Covid19 but it's just that to me an upgrade is not worth the money yet.
Uncle Trump is printing USD around the clock and is filling it’s peoples pockets to vote for him this coming November. Apple and Samsung will be reaping it all.
Probably doesn't help they charge $200 extra for NA and EU customers for the same device.

How Apple will convince people of buying +$1000 phones in the middle of pandemic, financial downturn and mass unemployment? For the next 2 years, the $200 phones will be the best sellers.
Good.
