I forgo the word "integrated" on the 765G, i just saw the 865 and when i saw it is an outside modem, i think the 765G too. 865 is less efficient than 765G, because it uses an external modem and takes more space.

That's why people underestimate it and Oneplus don't use it. 765G is only 15% faster than 720G. Dimensity 1000L is 33% more powerful than 765G yet costs maybe only $10 more and supports 90hz consistently. 765G doesn't have enough power to run 90hz consistently even in UI. Dimensity 1000L is an 5G chip with internal modem, while 765G "COMES" with an external modem and many mistook it for an built in 5G chipset, while in reality it is not. The only 5G chips are from Kirin 990 5G and Dimensity 1000L.

The Nerd line up is shaping up to be a very useless set of phones. Can't compete with the likes of Xiaomi and Realms let alone Samsung, Apple, or Google in anything (camera, build quality, hardware) and still have competeive price.

But the modem is in a package with the 765G. So if you buy the 765,no 4G version, only 5G. That's why all 865 phones are all 5G and very expensive (Poco F2 Pro)

And of course, the trade off everybody hates, "Mediatek" brand. I don't understand why oneplus chose 765G than the Dimensity 1000L, they costs same, but the Mediatek is more powerful and efficient. Only to attract buyers with "Qualcomm" and "5G"?
Never see a product from just the brand itself, see the quality too.

There is a rumour about upcoming lower-end Dimensity 7xx or 6xx chipset, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it since there is still no latest news about it.

My friend's galaxy a7 has an antutu of 103000 and he said it feels slower than when he first bought it. Midranges chip lasts maximum of 4 years. Where as an Flagship chip could last 6 - 7 years max

Dimensity 1000L has better AI power, more efficient. It is an 5G chipset too, whereas 765G uses an external modem. But, most people think that Mediatek is inferior, that's true only in flagship chips, but not in midranges one. Qualcomm makes a very bad midrange chip. Huawei's Kirin 985 5G and Dimensity 1000L is the best midrange chips rignt now.
