I really like it when it comes to folding.. but i would love it if the display is even bigger like 7.5 inches.. in a way i dont bother living my tablet behind... im hoping that would come someday.. thank you samsung in advance
Yoyoboy, 29 Jul 2020Good that they are not giving that stupid Exynos Exynos is designed for Samsung phones so they are giving exynos processor and exynos processor is also good
Fayth, 29 Jul 2020why add Z on the Fold2I remember reading that it was meant to show that the Fold was in the same "family" as the Galaxy Z Flip.
Looks nice to me. Currently I don't need such phone, but in future if they lower the price I can buy one just to see whats the experience of having a such phone.
Is the screen also easily scratched by a fingernail like the first model?
Dishonored, 29 Jul 2020Yeah 2000$ for a folding phablet Plastic screen :D Really how Can these be a thing ?? When i... moreYou missed completely the point. It is the same question, if you ask, why BMW Cabrio is so expensive, when we have BMW 5 on the market with lower price, but same specs.
Sorry, but I still prefer the large notch from the original Fold. It looks far better than this new Fold2 with a punch hole camera.
This looks a lot more appealing, but boy is it still tall.
Anonymous, 29 Jul 2020does foldable screen smartphone really have a demand in the market? what do you think?Of course there is, what kind of stupid question is that? The original fold sold like 500,000 in the first 4 weeks with a total of 1 million in lifetime sales. Clearly there's a market and subsequent demand. The only factor is price reduction and scalability to make it profitable and more appealing by extension. Obviously the more products we see, the more we can expect the price reduction and scalability to be possible. It's not a perfect device and has ways to go, but it is obvious something people have interest in.

The price are very high
Anonymous, 29 Jul 2020does foldable screen smartphone really have a demand in the market? what do you think?Maybe not at this point in time - it's novel tech but it serves as an important step in how we view/use phones 10-50 years from now. In 10 years foldables will have evolved into something much more high tech and many of todays issues will have been solved. Foldables would probably also have incorporated holograms and other technologies. Eventually they will be able to shrink the folded size of the phone to almost no width, length and height but when it unfolds you could have a full tablet size - maybe you could even have different screen sizes depending on how you fold it (I think that last part is at least 20 years from now).
Just look at how the iPhone 3S ended up changing how we use smartphones today. I think the same will happen with foldables. Ofc I could be wrong but I think this is where we're heading.
Anonymous, 29 Jul 2020does foldable screen smartphone really have a demand in the market? what do you think? They did it just because they can. It's an innovation flex at this point.

nice smile
I wonder if they were able to somehow improve the durability of the screen or if it's still the same fragile material used on the first iteration.
Anyway, maybe the foldables of 2021 will be worth the money - 2000$ is kinda nuts.
