Hope they have better call quality microphone and bluetooth 5.1
thisguy, 01 Aug 2020There better be a WF refresh, my XM3s are getting a little clunky. Also has anyone else notice... moreSilicons on my WFs are fine, but I probably will have to RMAA it soon due to failing electronics - I get drop out from time to time and it feels like the interval is getting shorter.
It might have to be related to zero water and dust resistance - I am not treating them gently.
PS: None of the tips are 100% for me as well, but you can always buy better Comply tip to fix it ;)
Anonymous, 02 Aug 2020they’re called codecs. and if you love your wire so much just continue using it I wonder if you never saw a typo before. And no, I will keep using both, thank you for your "smart" suggestion.
I hope the new release comes with BT 5 instead of 4.2

Fearghast, 31 Jul 2020What about WF series? :DThere better be a WF refresh, my XM3s are getting a little clunky. Also has anyone else noticed that the silicone ear plugs fall out over time or is that just me, none of them give me a good fit
2020sucks, 01 Aug 2020I ready to buy this. They better not say this will release in September.I sincerely hope they don't delay, was hoping to get the XM4 pair before I left for college since I live my WFXM3s so much
They better work wirelessly with the PS5

I use LDAC when ever I can, but it can never replace the raw quality and reliability of cable.

How can you possibly recover quality from the lossy-as-hell Bluetooth compression, dropped packets from WiFi interference, reconstruction of the audio signal with a class D amp tuned for micropower consumption, and the race to the bottom in consumer electronics? With a powerful and technical looking name like WH-1000MX4. F-yeah!
totoro, 31 Jul 2020So, those godawful sensor controls again...as a user myself, its really pretty convenient. find it better than button controls tbh.
It will be great. Even my 20$ Sony headphones sound great.
So, those godawful sensor controls again...
Kiwi, 31 Jul 2020Come on . Give them a normal name. you just need to remember XM4
I hope they update their amplifiers too, my STR-DN1080 is quite outdated now. Just thinking about buying a Denon AVR-4700H... Unless they release a "1090" for a bit cheaper, with similar specs... Oh, with a room EQ feature that would actually do good, unlike what the 1080 has.
I can't wait, after bassy, low quality plastic, non working touch interface in winter, unusable microphones XM3 - XM4 supposedly fixes all of the issues.
Can't wait to hear it, it might even be part of the upcoming Xperia 5 II bundle.
