Oh yeah, this phone basically does everything a $1500 iPhone could also do, but without the heavy useless materials and costs 1/20th of this thing.

This is stupid, but it speaks to the brand appeal of iphone. No one would care if a Samsung, Huawei, or One Plus was in Gold. That's why I don't get too caught up in the sales numbers. Camry sells about 20k cars a month. 3 series about 10k cars a month, but Toyota doesn't have the brand appeal of BMW. Only the Fold can possibly match the luxury appeal of iphone and that will be lost if Apple does a foldable phone. It's just an observation. I have no answers for Android manufacturers.
