The final version I'll make in Autodesk Fusion 360 will look quite different.
And what phones have the same design anyway ? I can't think of any phone having any of its design particularities.
electw, 01 Aug 2020Pixel 4a isn't even out yet and we have mentions of the Pixel 5a. It's pretty funny ... moreAgreed. They can as well skip the 4a naming, and lauch the 5a alongside the 5. Else, that makes it look like launching a line up that's one generation behind, and one that is current. Like two worlds, past and present.

And the Poco F2 Pro prove that you can still have pop up + notification light :
I prefer the way my frictional concept phone display (both front and the two on the side) are pushed inside the body, naturally protecting them without need for a case but also preventing accidental touches (that's the whole point of the side displays that are pushed inside the body) :
My design also showcase many sensors in the pop up.
Pop up is often way better than most peoples realize and often have less limitations, drawbacks and more awesomeness than it is often thought.
And more importantly, pop up allow for privacy, which is WAY more important than most peoples think it is :

I really hate it that because of the punch holes, pop up camara's and tiny notches sensors and notification leds are completely gone :(

And the double punch hole is actually a good reminder of how awful the single one is, if just putting a second one or making it slightly larger is enough for everyone to hate it, it should tell a LOT about how weird it is for peoples to even tolerate the single one in the first place.
Because of those stupid punch holes and tiny notches, we lost all biometric and other important sensors that the iPhone X Notch was there to actually allow in the first place.
It isn't because there is worse that we should lower our standards to accept something else that we wouldn't have otherwise.
The notch wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't for almost all devices to have it.
another, 01 Aug 2020another punch hole piece of crap lolI used to hate on punch holes too, but once the DOUBLE punch holes started popping up I realized those single punch holes aren't that bad after all... I mean look at Oppo Reno3 Pro or OnePlus Nord, it's a disaster, I'd never want a phone with such faulty-looking screen.
Sure I'd prefer pop-up selfie cam or a tiny selfie camera in a tiny top bezel, but we need to realize that it could've been SO much worse.

The 70$ to 200$ pricepoint devices still have a market to grow. The rest is oversatuated and few people buy, so why would they innovate? Better milking the cow with the same device in another Year. Pretty much apple business since the get-go.
