This will lead to a fairly open environment on airports and in that way it is quite a positive step. The timing of this and the value it will get is something we will have to watch out for. Considering these are long term contracts for 50 years, only serious bidders will be interested in participating

The definition of poverty in India was 50 cents/day which changed quite a bit in current gov. According to old definition 30 mill are bpl and acc to 1.25 threshold, 300 mill it is. Plus guardian of all papers should not comment on poverty in India. Their country was the one who caused it :/

INS, 01 Aug 2020Cpmpanjes need Cheap labour costs, production benefits. & Indians need jobs, new experience... moreIt won't happen in india ever, because india is going to stuck in a gap called as MIDDLE INCOME TRAP.

Brazil was very Ambitious in 2000s to become a developed nation but it never escaped the MIDDLE INCOME TRAP.

MIDDLE INCOME TRAP refers to a Economy thats stucked between (2000$ to 12000$ GDP PER CAPITA) PER YEAR.

Brazil is stuck going from 10000 to 12000$ per year for past 10 years.

CHINA is set to escape this trap as it's growing at 1000$ per year per capita.

India just grew 1000$ in last 20 years, china did this in just 12 months.

India went from 990$ to 1900$ per capita from 2000 to 2020

China went from 8000$ to 10000$ in less than two years.

Also Corruption is Skyhigh in india, and it doesn't have proper trade agreements with ASEAN Bloc nor Trans Atlantic deal nor with EU.

News channel running joke over 5 Rafales that are made in France with zero Indian components, initially it was under Make in India plan, but due to massive corruption and Redtape in setting up South India Plant it had to be made in France as a whole.

                Even Egypt has 30 Rafaels.

& Indians need jobs, new experience in various businesses.

                        So good for both.

Just take a look at Economic development of China from 1970s till now.It has worked in china creating millions of jobs, lifting people from extreme poverty to middle income slab & rise of many Chinese brands competing on global scale.

Similar thing would happen in india too.
India lifted maximum numbers of people out of poverty in recent times & will continue to do so.
Things are improving faster than ever now in india.
So good to see such news.
