This high price will distract many ppl to buy their phone and when phone become cheaper it will be outdated. So good luck Xiaomi with this pricing. We know that your investitors want to fill covid gap in their pocket. That logic will make gap even bigger.

These phones became popular and captured the market share because of their budget value with more features. Once they reached the targeted customer levels, they hiked their prices cunningly and illogically (like cheating customers), which is not right thing to do.

If you need phone under $500 check the poco f2 pro or the redmi note series. If you want flagship then you need to pay premium.

I also agree, they should stick with 500€ max for their phones. F2 Pro is an ok offer this year, but I'm waiting the next year and slimmer/ lighter phones with 5nm processor and possibly under screen selfie camera.

Will there be anniversity price as well?
Xiaomi were good when sold around/under 500 euros. I don't think Europe has any intrest in them at all because of this years 100% price increase.

I stopped buying Redmi / Xiaomi these days because of very minor updates and double price.
They have to bring their prices down to $400 and below for flagship specs phones and improve the specs sheet.
Why cant they put a solid selfie camera and sdcard support in the flagship phones?
Everyone is using front camera more than back camera these days and you spend so much on flagships and can't even have sdcard slot? Come on.
Why can't they give sdcard slots in flagship, when it is there in mid-rangers costing below $200?
Note 8 Pro and Note 7 Pro were better phones considering price and features, than these flagships (Mi10, Mi10 Pro, Poco X2, F2 Pro etc).

Well, all people that praised xiaomi, did so solely because xiaomi made cheapo phones with " flagship killer" features, the real appeal was the cheapo prices, but now, that is no longer true, same thing with oppo, honor, etc. Curious thing, the cheapo brands are jumping to the above 1000.00 mark, and the premium brands are down stepping some models to the cheap level
