Wow, so many Merdiatek shills happy that you won't get adequate custom ROM support (or even very basic licences compliance). If the goals is to make a cheap disposable phone, then yeah... Merdiatek is great at punching numbers. Otherwise, Snapdragon is just the gold standard for long-lasting Android support.
