TikTok is most popular for middle-aged people around 20 to 40 years, and some even use this platform to spread information and precautionary measures regarding the pandemic today.
Kids, on the other hand, are being exercised in a sense, since the dance moves that go viral are enjoyable to mimic and also help keep them fit even while at home. Many even use this as part time income source, depending on their popularity.
For pretty much everything, TikTok's influence is very big, and for a good reason that it was a close resemblance, maybe an even better version of Vines.

The primary reason are the activities and games that has made TikTok immensely popular with the kids. Somehow, I don't see Microsoft pulling that off.

Before you ask who would watch such clips, why not ask what can we get from those things first.
Primary reason for this is that many things can be far better and more well-explained in a short video clip than on a full-time minute or hour long video.

Why would anyone want to watch 15 seconds of video? What’s the point??? You can’t do anything meaningful in 15 seconds.

                  Everything is so superficial nowadays.
