My 4XL is my favorite Pixel. I have OG XL, 2XL and 3 (I refuse to buy a phone with a notch or punch hole, so I skipped 3XL). At first I thought the Soli chip was a gimmick, but after a couple of weeks, I found it to be indispensable. Sometimes fingerprint is better, but more often Soli is better.
The 4XL is extremely fast, gorgeous display and I have not had any battery problems, lasting all day with my use, but I don't watch a lot of videos.
My first one had the Soli chip fail after 2 months, but Google sent me a replacement and it had been perfect for the last 6 months. I hope my 4XL lasts a long time because I love this phone.

Anonymous, 07 Aug 2020It sold that well huh ? :DHas nothing to do with the sales numbers. Google is known for trying different things with their devices, nothing new here. It's smart to discontinue, why make more soli chips if you don't plan on using in newer models.

Note7 owner, 07 Aug 2020These pixel phones aren't too reliable. You obviously don't have any. My flagship 3 is f******g fantastic. So much to like and such a fresh reliable experience I keep going back too

Pixel 4 XL is nice but overpriced as usual. I had one like new few months after launch for 500€, this price is ok. Same for the 4a, looks good but 389€ ... When you see how much more specs OnePlus can pack in the Nord for only 20€ more, knowing Google is one of the richest company in the world being so greedy is kidding. Specs are not everything, but if OnePlus can do it for the budget, why Google doesn't add a little bit more ? It's like they don't want to more than they can't. Frustrating.

Unfortunately the Pixel 4 has so many design faults that I wouldn't even buy one in a fire sale. Lack of fingerprint sensor (a pretty fatal flaw for the next year at least), poor battery life and reports of battery problems in an EOLed device are pretty compelling reasons to save your money. And people are still trying to sell it at over $700.
