And we could buy those for around 500€, now they ask 1400

And that's the reason I moved from a note 3 running android 10 through custom roms to a f2 pro.

the value they offer for the price they ask, is just not worth it.

AnonD-558092, 09 Aug 2020If this was branded as a Note20 Lite, released for the price you gave, nobody would complain. ... moreWhy can’t there have been a Note 20 & Note 20 Ultra, Priced at £599 & £1199, Respectively?

Under the Note banner? In terms of marketing using monikers like “e” or “lite” certainly makes them less appealing to consumers, leave those out and simply adjust the price and not the name, this does away with the need for more than 2 different models, which should do fine, Samsung having completely saturated the market is became a big problem, the process of buying a phone shouldn’t be convoluted and therefore confusing.

I'm still using the Note 3 like you too, and that other guy has us both beat with the Note 2 lol. This is why Samsung has the best quality.

Spec wise, the gap between the S line and the Note might not be as big as it used to be, but that's OK since the Note is still the best smartphone every year in terms of the whole package. The display, the speed, the camera, the storage, the memory, the functionality, the build quality, the ecosystem. It's all at or near the top.

Nothing else comes close to replicating it all in one package. For a given feature, maaaaaaybe you can occasionally find one phone that might be better than the Note for that one feature, but the whole package of that competitor would fall short. That's the magic of the Note (and to a slightly lesser extent the S line too), which is offering the top of the line quality across the whole package.

The issue at hand is that this is supposed to be a successor to the Note10, which it frankly isn't.

talha5007, 09 Aug 2020from such a history, Samsung is now removing features instead of adding. better ditch the van... moreIf Samsung as a business is to attempt in gaining more consumers it has to offer a wide a range as possible(even if Samsung goes over board with its full Galaxy range of phones).

Many people may want the S-Pen experience and usability of the Note-Series but those people certainly may not be able to afford it within the flagship price tier.

There is no good reason that Note-elitists should be seeing the vanilla Note 20 as a poor thing, if anything I think it could’ve lost a few more features, like the wireless charging and telephoto cam etc but kept the S-Pen and perhaps got a 90Hz display of course and it could’ve been a much more palatable phone at a lower price perhaps around £550-£750, this reflecting a “lite” variant through handset price and not the actual device name.

MrDong, 09 Aug 2020Actually still, the S Pen provided you use it a lot, is going to be a joy to use. Its Note app... morethey don't really offer any degree of notable better performance.
While the galaxy offers better software, features, and for gaming better display, battery, audio, etc.

The note 2 was a special area for the notes and phones. And was one of the best buys you could get second probably until about 2016.
And the level of custom support made it even greater.

What a great flashback ! It was my 1st ever Note device. Great specs for his season. The S-Pen of Note 2 can still do things that 2019 devices can't.
Now I have the 2nd Note I ever had : Note 10+. I love them both. I had many phones from Xiaomi,OnePlus but I have to admit that Note devices is a high-end device with more interest and fun...thanks for this flashback...it brought great memories

I'm still using my Note 3 as my daily driver. The quality is amazing. It still works great and has some killer features that even newer phones don't have. I'm hoping I can squeeze at least 3 more years from it and then finally get a new Note or a Fold that hopefully has an S-pen.

Now it has become S + Pen.

Note should have better than S: CPU (overclocked version), cameras, screen and construction.
