So do laptops have to be made drop-proof? I don't know about you, but I don't buy a laptop considering that it will be falling. Outside a table, it should be, at most, on my lap.

Ben, 11 Aug 2020Are you like, normally in the habit of dropping your laptop? I know, right? Currently I use a ~$400 laptop for work. It is cheap and now has dents and cracks in some places but I only have myself to blame for not careful enough with it. Even a rugged laptop is meant to withstand things like pressure or accidental bumps, but shouldn't be tossed around. If you or your child or your pet drop it, then you as the user is at fault for not place it securely. It has nothing to do with the design.

Probably it will be the same for the next couple of years. Developing a new desktop OS to directly compete with Windows or Macs might take some time or probably never. They also need to entice developers to create applications that was available on windows or macs for their own OS.

Anonymous, 10 Aug 2020The ban has never impacted Windows or Intel... It is merely an attempt to screw up Huawei'... moreIt did affect Microsoft for a few months.
