Looks definitely interesting but i am missing Oneplus MC Laren edition.
lager-drinker, 11 Aug 2020I'm originally from Germany & based in Ireland. There are no iQOO service centres her... moreCaring about your homeland's brands eh? Nice to see you too on this full of indians and americans site.
About the IQOO thing, are you serious it didn't last a year? I mean the phone was launched in august, so it arrived in europe about beggining of september, and, at the rate bbk makes new phones, it was off the market in november. So guess he bought it in september, and it broke on him 9 months later?! That's like (as we're also on the subject of cars) buying one of those under 1000 euro indian cars, one use only cars. It's hard to belive but I do, although that's scaringly bad, I mean I guess it can blow up on you, just like them realme's.
And how come there are no iqoo centers not even in Blighty? Or Germany, where the guys they are partnering with have their headquarters.
In my opinion Iqoo is quite bad, I mean 9 months! I own 3 phones, other than the 2 others my family owns.
My main phone, an a40 is having a performance worse than anything I have ever seen (didn't treat it nice tho) but it works flawlessly at anything else, after one year and 2 months. Then one of the phones I don't own, the a50, after 9 months it's perfect in every regard, really can't complain about that one. If it were to be an IQOO it would have broken down I understand. Then another phone that I don't own, the a7 2018, which after 1 year and 3 months is also working quite good, a bit on the slower side but almost the same as when it came out of the factory. Now I also own a motorola one macro, which I bought out of curiosity at a massive sale (125€), and after 5 months of not really much using it, it's great (also the best phone at that price by a lot, it can even play pubg on high settings at 30 fps. Just the camera is more than quite poor). And now my most prized possesion in smartphone terms, the black shark 2, which I have owned for 4 months and, as you guessed it, nothing worse than how it was when I got it. 420 euro of pure greatness. This time next year I'm going for the rog 3, my firsy flagship in 7 years btw (that's because I had the s3 for 5 years haha).
Salut! (I don't know if you'll understand this but I sure understood guten tag)
Andreidinutu, 11 Aug 2020Where are you from? And how many centers are thereI'm originally from Germany & based in Ireland. There are no iQOO service centres here either. You said you were from Romania, its great to meet another European here.
Actually, my friend had bought an vivo iQOO Pro looking at the high specs & low price, but later he suffered a lot from battery & booting issues, he had to finally go to third-party technicians. However, his phone stopped working about a month ago. Anyway, nice to meet you. Guten tag.
What will be price for this model?
Lager-drinker, 11 Aug 2020Yes, thankyou. I looked up India too (unable to access the China website),looks like India is... moreWhere are you from? And how many centers are there
Andreidinutu, 11 Aug 2020You've got a point, and I agree, it's a bad Parternership, but it isn't horribl... moreYes, thankyou.
I looked up India too (unable to access the China website),looks like India is their 2nd most important market after China & they only have 12 service centres for the whole country ! https://www.iqoo.com/in/support/service-center .
I think that's how they are able to sell such low-priced smartphones. Rebrand another existing BBK /Vivo product with no after-sales support or responsibility.
Lasuto, 11 Aug 2020Lol you clearly don't know how sponsorship, especially in a Motorsports works.Actually, it has less to do with Motorsports sponsor but more about iQOO using BMW's brand name..like OnePlus brings out the McLaren edition, Oppo partnering with Lamborgini for Find X ,.etc. This could be detrimental for BMW's brand legacy.
Lager-drinker, 11 Aug 2020..by making a partnership with iQOO. Buddy, iQOO is a 1-year old spinoff from Vivo with questi... moreYou've got a point, and I agree, it's a bad Parternership, but it isn't horrible, since people buy iqoo, unlike vivo.
About repair/service/support centers:
Romania (my country):Nothing, nada, no site,no service, the phones aren't even sold here.
Hungary: Same story
Bulgaria:Same
Germany:BMW is german, but no sign of iqoo here either
India:The only place I could find a site, not even china
I agree, bad partnership
Plastic radiator company sponsored by a louzy aftermarket software tech company? There we go people, we have proof that dung attracts dung.
Lasuto, 11 Aug 2020Lol you clearly don't know how sponsorship, especially in a Motorsports works.Lol... oh you always gotta say lol. What don't I know? That Goodyear pays more? That it's better to be sponsored by brands related to racing?
Andreidinutu, 11 Aug 2020Yeah I didn't say they were desperate, I am just sad that out of all of the world's ... moreLol you clearly don't know how sponsorship, especially in a Motorsports works.
Lager-drinker, 11 Aug 2020You yourself have the first comment on the article, saying the same thing.Yeah I didn't say they were desperate, I am just sad that out of all of the world's brands, they choose vivo, a brand that nobody buys. Wait untul I get to my pc (in 3 mins) and I'll awnser your other comment
Andreidinutu, 11 Aug 2020Qoo with german brands? No way come on bmwYou yourself have the first comment on the article, saying the same thing.
Andreidinutu, 11 Aug 2020How is it desperate by making a partnership? ..by making a partnership with iQOO. Buddy, iQOO is a 1-year old spinoff from Vivo with questionable product quality & very poor after-sales support. For example, open the iQOO website for your country & see the total number of service centres. Do the same for 3-4 other countries too. Then tell what you find out.
The last thing BMW would want is their name associated with a brand whose customers will be lashing on Twitter about product issues & no service, somewhere down the line..
Soon BMW will be partnering with a ketchup company. Anyday now!
Lager-drinker, 11 Aug 2020Wow..is BMW really that desperate now ? I mean there's still time to catch up to Tesla..How is it desperate by making a partnership?
Wow..is BMW really that desperate now ? I mean there's still time to catch up to Tesla..
"iQOO has announced its partnership with BMW M Motorsport for the 2020 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) season, meaning we may see the company unveil an iQOO 5 BMW special edition on August 17 alongside the regular model."
That's kinda interesting considering fact that this years' DTM is run exclusively in European countries... Could it hint a global (or at least european) release? Personally I'd much rather see global release of iQOO Z1x (especially if they managed to keep the price under 300 usd - it would basically murder everything in midrange from Nord to many Xiaomi devices), but having a value beast amongst flagships would also be quite welcome.
