Round screens waste a ton of space for anything other than an analog watch-face.

They are more seamless in design. Plus this is not a smartwatch. Its just a fitness band like Fitbit Charge 4 and Apple has no presence in that market.
Key thing I like about this watch is 10 day battery life despite having fairly large amoled screen. Very impressive. All Smartwatches requiring daily charges are to me big pain. You cannot even wear them overnight for sleep tracking if it charges out middle of the night or charge it more than once a day.

I'm an android fanboy and hate apple for many things, but they created a beautiful watch that looked different than what was coming out then and the copying is getting ridiculous.

I have a Watch Series 3, and a Huawei Watch GT2. The Huawei is a trumped up fitness band, it doesn't do a lot. Yes, great battery, but much, much less functionality.
The Apple Watch is basically a phone on your wrist - I can go a whole day without taking my iPhone out of my pocket, or if I'm at home the phone doesn't leave my bedside table, I can get on with my day with just the watch.

Hopefully will get some 2020 functions as Samsung or Apple(EKG,blood pressure) plus the amazing battery life and proprietary Huawei OS.Coming with a new design but same specs as Watch GT 2 ,will not be something amazing for me,just another copy paste with different design.
