Flagshipkiller, 11 Aug 2020Please, join me to welcome this true flagship killer No. It is not an flagship killer. It is an Ultra Flagship Killer. It kills flagship that is starting more than $1200.
The charging technology is truly insane, I'm completely awestruck
S. Wang, 11 Aug 2020Which one is this 1/1.32” 48 MP primary shooter in the "best camera setup around" ?... moreWrong. The best sensor in the industry at the moment is the main sensor of the P40 series.
50 MP, RYYB, IMX 700Y, 1/1.28 inch sensor, Octa PD, ISO 409600
This is the best sensor. It handles HDR, High Contrast scene daylight, lowlight and even pitch black in auto mode. Samsung makes worse sensors than Sony. Huawei now currently has the best sensor in industry. Others need night mode, while Huawei just in auto mode. Just the colour tuning of the sensor needs work because it is an RYYB sensor, not RGGB.
Please, join me to welcome this true flagship killer
best phone of the year, take my money now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ultra
ASUS ROG Phone 3, 11 Aug 2020I just looked at my iPhone XS Max and the OnePlus 8 Pro QHD at 120 Hz, I couldn’t differentiat... moreit is not even worth the extra battery life. It is noticeable, but i don't think smoothing operations is worth 3 hours of battery life
If they remove :
1. The 120hz
2. The 10 bit display.
3. Curved edges
4. 5G
6. Second telephoto camera at 2x
7. 120W charging
8.50W Wireless charging
Then they made an normal verison and pricr it below $600, it will be an ultimate flagship killer. It is so sad that nowadays companies like to push boundaries without thinking of what truly matters to the consumers and they don't even use all those features and ended up paying more for nothing. Hope someone makes phone like the Poco F1 comeback. Focus on things that truly matters!
Ultraviolet, 11 Aug 2020Great specs but unless they do something about their spyware OS miui, that is also full of ads... moreSamsung is full of more useless copycat apps.
I just looked at my iPhone XS Max and the OnePlus 8 Pro QHD at 120 Hz, I couldn’t differentiate any difference in terms of refresh rate benefits! Hope I am the only one like this 😁! Scrolling is smoother but unable to make big difference.
Which one is this 1/1.32” 48 MP primary shooter in the "best camera setup around" ? Is it the Sony IMX 586 ?
Because Xiaomi certainly doesn't make camera sensors & earlier they were going to use Samsung's Isocell 50 MP GN1 sensor, which was 'actually' the best around. But, it looks like it proved to be too expensive for Xiaomi..
Now it's Huawei's, Apple's, and Oneplus's turn to release their smartphone. Iphones i an not interested since the Iphone XS (not much upgrade), Oneplus have left their own way. And Huawei, no GMS.

1. $1000
2. Plastic back
3. Don't have the Note DNA
4. PPI below 400
5. Not a small note
6. 60hz not even 90hz
7. Touch sampling rate is at 60hz
8. Uses midrange Super AMOLED plus, not Dynamic AMOLED
9. No MicroSD
10. Slow 15W Wireless charging
11. 25W downgrade from 45W
12. Uses an Samsung brand
13. No Autofocus on ultrawide
Mi 10 Ultra is better than the Note 20 Ultra in my eyes
Ultraviolet, 11 Aug 2020Great specs but unless they do something about their spyware OS miui, that is also full of ads... moreMIUI's ads and bloatware are very easy to turn off and never think of them again.
Ah, yeah, and those useless "silver" and "transparent" back versions are, well, useless.
16 year old me would've been floored by a smartphone like this. Good lord.
Great specs but unless they do something about their spyware OS miui, that is also full of ads & bloatware, they can't beat Samsung & Apple in the flagship space & will fail again like the last 9 Mi flagships.
For $800(in China) this is by far the best smartphone on the market, currently...helluva thing for the company's 10th anniversary, well done Xiaomi👍
