JDK, 11 Aug 2020C'mon DxOmark, what are you smoking?
Okay, this MIGHT be better at photo, but video? S... moreJust look at the sensor size.
Video score simply isn't about video quality through main lens.
It includes, video from other lens (Ultrawide with autofocus, telephoto) as well.
Not to forget 8k and super slow motion capabilities beyond the iPhone's reach.

It looks great.
100x is miles better than the one on S20 ultra & p40 pro+
Demongornot, 11 Aug 2020I think the 2x optical zoom is for portrait, which is actually great as portrait need a long f... moreAnd it's equipped with Dual pixel AF and 1.4 micron pixel size.
So great portraits irrespective of lighting conditions and 2x zoom when necessary.
Something wrong with that 120X zoom in dxomark. The videos i saw, 120X is crappy and very strong loss of detail, not like the images dxomark posted. Oh and S20 ultra and P40 Pro Plus from what i saw, have much better zoom. This seems fishy but i'll wait for the proper reviews.
Kriegsherr, 11 Aug 2020xiaomi is the epitome of ''Chinese product''.Unless you are stuck in the 90's.
In today's time, Chinese are the innovators in smartphone segment.
Others are simply playing catchup.

IPhone succcks in low light video compared to the likes of OP8 pro.
I know coz I owned both of them.

this is becoming like performance readings.
in real life, it seems there is not a lot of difference. sort of like those antutu performance tests
lol dxomark keep showing why they have zero credibility with all these paid reviews. How is this the best camera phone? As soon as you zoom the pics, it's the usual oil painting bonanza and this thing can't handle greenery at all with all this ridiculous oversharpening - even mate 30 pro, which is an year old, completely wipes the floor with it.
JDK, 11 Aug 2020C'mon DxOmark, what are you smoking? Okay, this MIGHT be better at photo, but video? S... moreYou're absolutely right! The review is so bad in video section, they talk about only 4k60fps and only for main cam! Where is the 4k60 for ultra wide and telephoto zoom? Is that phone can record 4k60 with three cameras in a video? If there is 4k60, I want to use it, if there is telephoto and ultra wide angle camera I wanna use it. I want to zoom in and out in 4k60 with its camera and go to ultra wide lens in a same video. The year is 2020 and Android phones still can't record 4k60 with all cameras (even fresh Note20U).
oh cmon, sick of this BS, everytime a xiaomi comes out it gets the top spot in the dxoshit ranking, but after you play with it it is clearly not the best out there, xiaomi for years now don't fix their problem in camera (the overexposing), not to mention the inability to switch between cameras while filming.I am firmly convinced that if i take this for spin it isn't better than a p30 pro or mate 30 pro.tried so many xiaomis and everytime had to sell them, the camera isn't up to par.
Jacktackle, 11 Aug 2020Looks like these DXO guys are in-house people of Xiaomi. They did the same thing for MI 10 pro... moreSamsung does not deliver pre-release units for review to review, and besides chinesse phones are doing great, I´m a samsung fan but their camera modules have been boring for too many years in a row, little to no improvements since they and other companies started the 12mpx sensors trend (I know pixel count is not the only thing that matter but for real, with that artificial - postprocessing photos looked always the same and they really start lacking detail when those ginormous CMOS started appearing) when they finally moved to something new with the s20 ultra, they messed up with focus problems.
DxO.... It being awhile since I last take them seriously and can't think of any reason they are political free or as minimum as possible... I don't give a two cent how DxO take one specific condition/feature and put it under the microscope and enlarge it like a titan and justify some of the phone's high ranking. Despite never owning a iPhone myself, but watching my partner using it over the years, overall, as a true point-and-shoot replacement, I can't believe some of the Android phones ranking that are higher than iPhone. And yet, some of the low spectrum of Android don't get the score justify. And IMHO, plenty Xiaomi take really average to poor photo and some of the High ranking one really don't deserve it score.
Anonymous, 11 Aug 2020I think they’re paid.Lol I will not say anything
CompactPhones5ever, 11 Aug 2020Xiaomi phones with good camera (like Mi 10): DxOMark review gets released BEFORE the release t... moreIn fact phone makers who seem to be confident with their camera phones usually give pre-release review units to these sites in order get good early reviews and boost their sales, same happened with huawei flagship P series. and it´s obvious that new flagships with new sensors, optics and software optimizations will lead to better performance which increases the top score every so often but not always (like in the case of samsung or apple recent flagships) but thats expected, flagship tier chinesse phones have been delivering better camera perfomance in the last 2 or 3 years, for real, i'm tired of iphone small sensor with bad noise management and bad porccessing in samsung and other phones that look like watercolor textures with lack of detail.
With the amount of high quality hardware they've added, it would be stupid if the cameras aren't good because they messed up the software.
Anonymous, 11 Aug 2020Xiaomi using Samsung sensor Lol.Yes ,this the joke 😊 Xiaomi utilized the sensor better than samsung.
Anonymous, 11 Aug 2020Xiaomi using Samsung sensor Lol.Yes xiaomi also uses a 108 mpx sensor and don't have any single problem
