Products that sold decently despite having more glue than screws and cannot be repaired even by microsoft themselves so they just flat out replace them.
$1,399
wow!!
just... wow!!
I don't get the use of this device. And wasn't it was supposed to have class leading camera? The specs don't suggest it, and there is nothing super about 7x digital zoom unless it's clear as optical.
Hardware isn't outdated, some peoples just want best things not thinking that it is not necessary. The main problem with Duo is that incredible small battery... it's just insane fail. Should be at last 4,5k or better 5k. Price is too high, should be no more than 999$.
Next gen should have better battery, smaller bezells, external screen (at last 6,2"), and be not so wide to be comfortable to handle

has an app system in place. Even when people were being paid thousands to make apps for windows phone it was half baked. Its clear that the mobile operating space for the moment is a 2 horse race Android or iOS. what would be the point of starting so far behind that you product is a total failure from the start its not as if this product is going to succeed as it is.
The camera has very poor specs. Microsoft uses a 24mm equivalent camera with 11 megapixel 11mm² sensor and f/2.0 lens without OIS. An iPhone 11 captures 2.7 times as much light per exposure time. A Xiaomi Note 10 (not the Ultra) captures nearly 9 times as much light per exposure time.
Furthermore they advertise AI, although it is known that AI is often a disadvantage.
Microsoft should have used a new version of Windows Mobile. They need to understand that the reason were not the apps. Windows Mobile was simply bad: The tiles reminded of advertising banners, it was slower than iOS or Android due to long animations and the user interface was simply not good. If Windows Mobile was a very good OS, then more people would have used it and more apps would have been developed. But it was bad. Microsoft shouldn't try to blame the app developers. The OS was simply bad.

If they made a Phone they would be ridiculed as their mobile phone legacy/reputation is so rocky and unstable. This is business user focused as usual, it is their entry into the Android ecosystem, and I am curious how well the devices will actually do with the Android OS/UX/UI. According to Panos they make sure to send the best user experience, and this is from the Surface team so we should expect no less.
....what?
9.9mm when folded...that is impressive
Let's see how many unit is sold...
A single-camera from 2012
Horrible 3450mAh battery
Missing any external screen
SD 855
Thick bezels
Base 64g storage
Single mono speaker
Only 6g of RAM
No NFC, Wireless charging, 5G
With these outdated specs, it shoudn't be priced over $800, or it will have the same Pixel 4 fate
So you can buy a normal Surface tablet and a decent phone for the price of this. Are they mad? Doesn't even have a proper folding screen to justify the cost (innovation/gimmick tax).
How do dumb ideas like this survive all the meetings and demos and testing amd make it to production without anyone saying "umm why would anyone buy this?"

and i forgot you have a 3700 mah battery for what is an 8.1 inch screen. and we laughet at apple se for 1800 mah, on 4.7. atleast that is having 720p resolution.

Velvet already at sub 400USD just a few months after launch.
And you can take out the other half of them if not needed.
If people can hold out a bit since lots of these jokers keep releasing useless/rehashed models monthly. Or wait if Iphone 12 will tank the 1000USD bnew/used markets for android.
Flop on arrival.
Certain to become popular IF Microsoft drops prices to $700.
And lmao no expandable memory too.
