I love how my iPad Pro does not have to lower resolution to run at 120hz. I hope Samsung will learn how to do a proper implementation of 120hz in their phones to like Apple has on the iPad.

Samsung and their cheap hardware had to stop ToF because they don’t buy top shelf hardware like Apple :’D Samsung put cheap tech in their phones and sell the good stuff to Apple just like Sony.

The Tab S7 uses a Snapdragon 856+ that is far behind the Apple A12Z, another area where Apple continue to smash the competition, that explains why you are here, you cannot stand to see us iOS users get top hardware :’D

It’s great to know that apple always get top pick of any hardware that is not a gimmick. :)

Have a look at what Asus has done with HRR and screen latency among other under the hood changes.

Also, software matters a lost.
Oxygen OS and ZenUi are miles better than the one on razr phone. That can create huge difference in user experience.
Go use an ROG 2, ROG 3, OnePlus 8 pro, Find X2 pro as daily driver.
Then come back and tell me you want to go back at 60hz.

I did notice the high refresh rate difference during mobile gaming, but definitely not so during everyday use. In fact, I did so little mobile gaming that I ended up selling the Razer Phone.

Android.Master, 15 Aug 2020How much did you sell your iPhone for? And which model of OP8 pro did you buy? Sold my iPhone 11 pro Max for Rs.55k, some iF**l had no problems paying that amount. Ended up paying only Rs.5k/70$ more for my brand new Op8 pro(12gb/256gb) Ultramarine Blue variant. Such a sweet 👌deal.
Felt like such a huge upgrade Software and hardware wise.
I had my Note 9 lying around which I missed everytime something wasn't possible on iOS.

Just because Samsung decided to limit to 1080p doesn't mean implementing is not perfect. people like you will keep saying implementation is not perfect until you get HRR on iPhone which definitely won't be this year.
Your iPhone can't even go beyond 60hz making it the equivalent of 1000$ junk with ugliest looking front and back in the entire smartphone segment.

Oh yeah the bendable iPad pro which my father threw in the dustbin and told me not to gift him cheap quality products in the future. Waiting to buy the S7 tab for him now.
I won't lay my hands on cheap quality products ever again.
Sold my iPhone 11 pro around the same time.
IOS never again.

Thank you for proving my point :)
I’ll stick to properly implemented 60Hz, I’ll gladly take 120hz when it is actually ready, not with all the green tint crap that is happening and lowering of resolution on androids.

It works perfectly on my iPad Pro, no green tint crap. :)

I PERSONALLY use the ROG 2 as daily driver over my S10.
One of the big reasons is that I couldn't go back to 60hz after experiencing smooth 120hz goodness. Not to forget the other advantages like better cpu, battery life, stock like OS among other things.

ONly Samsung limiting it to 1080p.
Way better than being stuck at pedestrian 60hz.
Premium is something which cannot be experienced on outdated 60hz display of iPhone with weak 120hz touch sampling rate and high latency.

6ix, 13 Aug 2020FPS and Hz are two different things when would all of you learnThey are different but related. If you're playing a 30 fps video on a 60 Hz display, you end up displaying the same frame for 2 consecutive refreshes of the display. Halving the refresh rate of the display in this case will have no impact on the smoothness of playback but will result in lower power consumption.

Samsung should also detail the performance differences between the Exynos 990 and Snapdragon 865+ variants and how the Europeans pay more and get less. That is very important.
