Did use 120Hz phone before, and literally didn't see any much difference than a phone with 60Hz screen. The only thing I remembered was that 120Hz looked so good during mobile gaming, but that's about it. Everyday use? Couldn't even noticed it at all.
6ix, 13 Aug 2020FPS and Hz are two different things when would all of you learnThat is why it's ... variable refresh rate.
Anonymous, 12 Aug 2020 Yet another gimmick.... It won't save much of a power, be cause people rarely stare at ... moreLots of people watch 30 fps videos, so it would be better to tune down refresh rate to 30 fps. This implementation is good idk why some people are hating on it.

You are stuck with garbage 60hz this is why you hate this display.
Me personally, Never going back to 60hz ever again.
IpsDisplay, 12 Aug 2020Lol this just confirms that sharp displays are way ahead of the entire industry Do you guys... moreJust goes to show you are not giving abating the credit they deserve. They've done a lot in displays too. And doing all that on oled is different.
IpsDisplay, 12 Aug 2020FactsIPhone :D since they are recycling the same design iPhone 5 to iPhone SE 2020.

Seems like you really don't understand what sharp is capable of
Anonymous, 12 Aug 2020 Yet another gimmick....
It won't save much of a power, be cause people rarely stare at ... moreHow long people stare at static content?
Pretty much most of the time exluding games and videos.
It's Hz ... even if it lower refresh rate for 0,5sec. it can potentionaly save some power.
It certainly is not saving grace, especialy with Exynos on board and that you have to use 1080p and not more.
Technology is good, Samsung implemention is not.
Berserker, 12 Aug 2020Thanks for the laugh, you are hilarious 😂😂😂😂Glad to help.
iOS Succckkks, 12 Aug 2020Way better than being stuck at pedestrian 5 year old 60hz display. I’d rather have a proper 60Hz implementation than a poorly implemented 120hz that has to run at a lower resolution to compromise. :)
iOS Succckkks, 12 Aug 2020Way better than being stuck at pedestrian 5 year old 60hz display. Pedestrian? How you gonna insult someone with that vocabulary 💀
Yet another gimmick....
It won't save much of a power, be cause people rarely stare at completely static content. Let alone when you're watching a video or playing a game or just scroll around menus/apps....A 120Hz display will fare pretty much the same.
And just for the giggles..... THAT camera hump.... man
Fearghast, 12 Aug 2020Oh I have, that is why my comment is spot on mate. Thanks for the laugh, you are hilarious 😂😂😂😂
SizN80, 12 Aug 2020Still stuck at 1080p Way better than being stuck at pedestrian 5 year old 60hz display.
IpsDisplay, 12 Aug 2020Lol this just confirms that sharp displays are way ahead of the entire industry Do you guys... moreSharp could probably outclass a lot of smartphone makers if they tried. Look at the Sharp Aquos Crystal. The design holds up today, show me another 2014 phone that does that. That phone was 5 years ahead of it's time.
Berserker, 12 Aug 2020OK battery life? 😂😂😂😂

aggressive app kills? well you can make exclusions, it only takes several taps away. for me, i only exclude whatsapp, email, watch sync app, and some others.
i don't want some random game or apps running in the background.

Try to use any Huawei phone to understand ... moreI had a Mate 20 lite and switched to an Exynos A51 about 2 months ago, and in the beginning the battery life was awful. It got better with updates (good enough for my usage) but still can't match the almost 2 year old battery in the Mate 20 lite. I could sometimes go 2 days without charging, now I have to charge every night. So yes, Huawei phones do have better batteries.
