Yes, I hope that this happens, ios being restricted is the only thing pushing me away from ios itself.

AnonD-896879, 15 Aug 2020Yes, I hope that this happen, ios being restricted is the only thing pushing me away from ios itselfShouldn't forget also there is no competition for devices with ios. W10 on other hand is getting everywhere, even on android from xcloud(xbox basically runs w10). The biggest flaw for me was and is, its hard to use it for everyday stuff like to copy paste some files / music, use some codecs etc. and versatility. Like you couldn't use even mouse with tablets, at least last time I remember it was like this. Same design, camera, mono audio rec for years....

Sammy fan, 14 Aug 2020That’s a great news... Finally this bad game is having a big great hit. Thank you apple and go... moreLol it is epic games wich want google and apple to ban them, so they will not ban "pubg" because tencent or whatever the owner of pubg don't want that, and it didn't broke any rule

abigfanoftechs, 15 Aug 2020Apple is taking 30%, but why is the discount only 20%? A 30% makes more sense.Maybe because they were at a 10% loss(in terms of target profit) per sale trough the app store? So now they lose 0% since they have to give nothing to Apple/Google? That is just speculation but oh well. c: (20% = yay)

Every cross platform game with Android has problems for the Apple side ALWAYS!

MrDong, 14 Aug 2020Not really. Their PC and console market, including their game Borderlands, is still their main... moreFYI, Borderlands isn't an Epic game, it's published by 2k Games and made by Gearbox. Epic just paid a boatload for it to be on Epic Store exclusively for the first 6 months, like they did for many other titles. Which is anti-competitive behavior. The company who has been regularly known for anti-competitive behavior is trying to sue another company for being anti-competitive. Nobody explained the absolute hilarity of that to them obviously.

Borderlands 3 was released on Steam exactly 6 months after it dropped on Epic store, and it released at half price on Steam, including the season pass. According to Data on Steamcharts, it had 93,597 simultaneous players on March 15th after its release on March 13th. Epic games doesn't report on it's player data so we can't make a direct comparison, but 93k concurrent players is a pretty good number - it's about the same daily peak as TF2.

Just a spoiled brat company acting like they are right. No one force them to accept Apple or Google's terms. Personally for me, not being able to play EPIC games has zero impact on me. Last I checked, people I know do not play EPIC games.

Think of it this way. The Appstore is a mall or a dept. store or a marketplace that Apple/Google built. So if you want to sell your goods there, you have to pay or rent a space. In this case, its 30% of your sale. If you don't want to pay rent, you're out. It's that simple.

Only option for Fortnite fans is to get a Android device, console(PS4, Switch Xbox ONE) or a PC!

kammem2, 13 Aug 2020I am with Apple and They should respect Apple store policy..If they are going to win this case... moreThey already can. Netflix and Spotify already only allow you to manage your membership and billing through their website. The rule is that you cannot redirect users or advertise your website subscription plans from within the app. The users must locate the website on their own and find out if they have a cheaper subscription fee there. Epic broke the rules by advertising their own payment system within the app with an update. The did this deliberately and with the full intention of breaking the rules and forcing Apple into banning them.

I'm not buying into Epic's model of business with all those giveaways and now trying to sue Apple and possibly Google as well. They knew exactly what they were doing when they added those alternative payments methods in the game.

There is still Xiaomi and more out there.
