Either way I am looking forward to the MS Duo, the concept is great but I am concerned about the internals versus what Microsoft is promising. Let’s see what the comparisons say, at least there is something a little different coming our way despite the times we are in! :D

SigmaR, 17 Aug 2020SD 855 is hardly underpowered for anything. The major setbacks are the battery and the camera, to meDidn't mention 855 being underpowered ever.

What matters is the software. Microsoft gotta make some sort of windows like (with windows integration, streaming your desktop's stuff on this phone) modifications to make it useful, otherwise it's worthless

Dennan4, 17 Aug 2020Your comment literally said You wanted 865 because You pay Ultra Note 20 money for it. Seem li... moreI'm sorry. Ok yeah that's what someone would understand from reading my comment, I just reread it. I'm sincerley sorry, I didn't mean to be mean without a stable comment. I don't know exactly what I was thinking last night but sure, you are right. That's what you would understand from my comment.
Anyway, my point also is, why have a sd 855 (please don't bring up my bs 2 story, that I said why I bought it in a different comment) when you can have a sd 865. I understand it was launched in 2019, only sd 855 but still, someone would be buying it today, over half of 2020 already gone, and the sd 855 has been replaced by even a third cpu, the 865+. I understand it is more than enough (I'm not using the bs2 as my main phone, because in romania you don't really have a reason to use it. Especially that I use nfc, and for that I have a much more modest galaxy a40), I mean I feel like that bs 2 will last my a decade because of it's speed, but for 1400 euro you got a choice of LG, which offers that cpu and maybe even a better camera.
I don't wanna start any more arguments, I already failed once (probably cause I was tired but I still don't know what I was thinking), but all I wanna say is that for such money, you can get the latest and greatest from any brand, and looking at what apple (not a dual screen device but I'm still bringing it up since it's a great phone) has to offer, it seems like it's not a deal unless it's for a company, where for this price you can buy the latest and greatest in laptops as well. Anyway sorry for wasting your time

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2020Bashing before testing.. you people are always the same, we will see what the reviews show, an... moreYou think this will magically be better than other devices with more RAM and larger battery capacity? If anything, tests will reveal that it's underpowered to get things done. If you only plan to open a spreadsheet then get anything but this.

I don't get how people are okay with bs like this. How about you ask for useful specs when they want over $1000 instead of accepting ridiculous shortcomings. Someone is going to offer a better solution and then you can watch microsoft bump up RAM and battery. You will probably complain about that and say less RAM and battery is better, smh.

biggest downfall is the lack of an outer screen means you have to open everytime you want to do something, and that is bad.

Andreidinutu, 16 Aug 2020You don't get it do you? I have a black shark 2, sd 855. Anyway I want the 86865 because ... moreYeah so buy the note 20 Ultra if you feel the need for having next gen processor as future proofing.
Although I doubt you need futureproofing in your phone if you have a 855 now and looking to buy a new phone already, you are clearly switching device often enough that the processor wont be a problem. Same for me, I have a oneplus 7 pro now and have pre-ordered the Duo, when the 855 is no longer able to perform in the things I do on my phones I will have surely be using a newer phone, whether it will be a Duo 2, Fold 3 or anything else we will see.

Ram is less than 8gigs
for that processor

Battery is less than 6000mah for dual display

there is no display notification like MOTO RAZR 2020,
when close the dual screen

Better is Sony Xperia 1 II.

DragonNF, 16 Aug 2020but with LG you can have it as both dual screen or just a normal sized phone. LG is a good option for those wanting just that. But the hinge is limited compared to the Duo not being 360 and the implementation looks nowhere near as nice in physical appearance, in my personal opinion that is. I am not the one to say one is better than the other, depends on the preferences of the person buying one, both seem to have its set of fans.

One of the issues with windows OS is that not all software is touchscreen compatible, will be interesting to see if they have their own special version of excel ect as the iOS and Android versions have a lot of functionality removed
