Axon 7 was a great phone for its time, but when ZTE got kicked out they never even gave one update in the USA. I will never buy another ZTE. Also, in needs small waterfall on the sides to get rid of those ugly bezels. Guess I will keep my OnePlus 7 Pro until someone does under screen camera right.
"although this might be an issue for fans who want a 4K or even 1080p shots." I don't think this is a problem as 1080p (1920x1080) is 2.1 megapixels. 4K (3840 x 2160 or 4096 x 2160) is about 8.5 megapixels. It can even nearly do 8k according to the article "we’re looking at a 6.92” OLED, a 32 MP front-facing shooter" as 8K resolution consists of 7680 x 4320 pixels (4320p - or the equivalent of 33.2 Megapixels) - source is Google resolution megapixel equivalents.
I think the issue with the under-display camera is overcoming the possible issues with the quality and clarity of the images rather than the pure resolution of the images.
Why don't phone companies just skip the front camera for those of us who are okay with just flipping or phones around to take selfies? They could reduce the price that way.
X, 17 Aug 2020I'm not a big fan of this brand(neither the others), but based on my experience, ZTE... moreI had 2 Axon 7 and now Axon 10. Excellent build.
B&H still have Axon 10 Pro (no 5G) in stock.
sayabosanhidup, 17 Aug 2020oh very well i myself have 4 pieces of zte nubia phonesAndrei, you're wrong. They sold Axon 7 (normal and mini) at least in Germany and Austria (Mediamarkt, Saturn, Amazon.de). Now, they are selling Axon 10 Pro 5G.
"suggesting the Chinese manufacturer is bringing a successor to the ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G"
It's not a real successor if it's only using a 765 when the Axon 10 used the flagship 855.
Seriously this is going to be such a waste phone. The first with under display camera but only using a midrange chip.
If they're going to do this why not go all out and use the 865+? Suggests to me they don't have much confidence in the under display camera. It doesn't matter who's the first to do it, it matters who's the first to do it well
mel, 17 Aug 2020is that a front top screen or the front bottom screen lol
i dont see any speaker mesh or any ... moreif you read the article, it supposed to be under-display camera

I'm not a big fan of this brand(neither the others), but based on my experience, ZTE's build quality, camera, and audio are pretty good, the only complaint that I have is ZTE was kicked out from many country so we can't buy it legally.
I don't think anyone will buy zte phones outside of china. In romania (or europe as a whole) they don't sell it. And that's where people are willing to buy it
is that a front top screen or the front bottom screen lol
i dont see any speaker mesh or any camera hole, notch, or maybe its a pop-up front camera! :)
This is somewhat new technology but I'm certain people will still be comparing its quality to the back cameras of the Pixel phones.
