Back to the standard and Pro versions, love it !
I still use my trusty ZenFone 4 Pro today like it was made a week ago, gonna add the 7 Pro soon.
Hopefully they retain the headphone jack and triple card slot set-up from the ZenFone 6

Is funny how the post is about Asus phones. But in the end people in here end up arguing about TV's displays. Lol.
I am so proud of this community.

The mid-range and cheaper flagships cut cost by using cheap oleds, which start dying within a year. LCDs last forever. I own Redmi K20 as the deeper blacks are cool at first but the screen has issues. It's perfectly fine if it's Samoled, otherwise the Chinese ones are shit.

vbrntn, 18 Aug 2020Yes, sir. enjoy your burn-in, black ink, low lifespan, tint issues :)I have been Oneplus 6 for 3 years now I haven't faced any tinting issue or burn-in
IpsDisplay, 18 Aug 2020Wish they would keep the LCD screenIt is an LCD screen because there's a fingerprint scanner on the side under the volume button based on the teaser. Using an OLED but leaving the on-screen fp reader seems dumb in my opinion so there's no way that's an OLED display.
notafanboy, 18 Aug 2020Ah yes, issues that only affect about 2% of devices. Oh my.Ah yes! Where did you get those numbers?
Looks like a side-mounted fingerprint reader from the teaser because the bump for power button was nowhere to be found so it's definitely an IPS screen. Disappointed that they remove the dedicated google assistant button.
And it's definitely another flip camera style because you can see the cut out at the top frame from the teaser. Hope they keep the good stuff from the 6's.

I see clearly now and I'm no longer a drone for the OLED maffia /s

Anonymous, 18 Aug 2020LCD is prehistoric technology, either OLED or nothingMost expensive TVs are LCD. LED is just a LCD with more efficient backlit system.
Most of laptops are LCD.
Electronic outdoors are LCD.
Oled has too many issues. Big failure.
notafanboy, 18 Aug 2020Okay sir... Enjoy your grey blacks!Yes, sir. enjoy your burn-in, black ink, low lifespan, tint issues :)
