They better make sure the phone that will come with it will be able to record video using this tele cam from the get go. Unlike their Reno 10x Zoom that can only do that after more than a year of waiting...

New sensor seems very jagged edge-y.

I'd rather have a 48+mp module with 135mm fixed 5x zoom and better overall image quality than a zoom lens. To me 5x zoom seems more useful than 3x zoom. For 3x I can either get closer to my subject and snap a picture with primary camera, or walk back and use 5x camera.

If I want more, I'll just use my main camera.

I don't see anything. All of their parts are from foreign companies, mainly from Japan, SK, US and EU.
Haven't you learnt from Huawei ?
Or do you need ban for all Chinese brands ?

See that Samsung, optical zoom is the only thing that matters. Cropping and interpolating an image to 100x is dumb

Anonymous, 18 Aug 2020Because current periscope is fixed FL + digital zoom. Not variable FL like Asus had. Sure not commercially

We already know however that this was coming since the Vivo apex 2020

Even then this is NOT the same bulky old garbage quality lenses in the Asus and old sammy

Anonymous, 18 Aug 2020It is not small battery. It is the fact ppl spend more time on the phone than necessary. So true. Im guilty. Years way back my samsung galaxy note (1) can last more than a day before i get to charge it. This time at least 4000mah is needed

All other companies outside China, could really learn something here.
Like the Pixel sh.. phones, only innovates prices.

The new reality is not China copying here, now its US, while their dictator try stop the innovation crusade from China... other brands to.

Almost all brands get lenses from unknown chinese companies.
Huawei does not have leica lenses, local company supplies. Leica just gives their okay to quality.

There are companies like LG, Zeiss etc that built the modules (sensor, lenses, OIS etc) for cellphone makers.

So...who's providing the lens for this? If it's Sony, paired with their 48MP Regular and Wide will make the Find X3 Pro (no doubt that's on the way) a killer camera phone. Shame they can't figure out how to add wireless charging, large battery cell, or headphone jack/2nd Type-C port....
