Sammy was right with the inward fold and Huawei simply couldn't deliver with the Mate X & Xs but this.. This looks really nice. Especially with a big uninterrupted outside display because the cams are to the side
Galaxy Fold with Pen and Touch bar, I like it.
But we have the same Elephant in the room scenario as with all other Foldables and Dual-ables currently on the market, P>R>I>C>E = Fail
Looks very interesting but I just realized the mini strip is the only display it will have when folded. That would be a deal breaker for me. I would like to read, text or play a game without opening the phone. This design works better as a tablet. Not a Foldable phone.
So, based on this design, when I receive a text or email, I'm going to have to open the phone every time I want to read/respond? Seems more like a tablet that can make calls vs a smartphone that can be used as a tablet. The Mate Xs was a better, practical design. They just needed to give it stronger materials (i.e. outer screen).
Good that there will be competition for foldable phones
But if i can next month get galaxy z fold 2 for 1800 euros i am going for it.
Huawei should tease their foldable and that it will be lower price than competition to keep me interested.
Looks absolutely awesome, the thin design looks fantastic, subdisplay looks awesome too and I think stylus is an epic idea on these foldable tablets...
BUT. I'd still trade all of these for Google Play support any day of the week... The US ban is really a loss for everyone, if it was a fair fight for both Huawei and Samsung, Sammy would've been forced to enhance their foldable even further or to lower their price...
