Its a marketing gimmick. I had to return the product. From the beginning,flipkart and Asus are fooling indian customers, stating accessories will be available. However till date they haven’t made it available in India. My friend bought it from US and he got all the accessories, even for cheaper price than Indian Market. Cheap Flipkart and Asus tricks.

No jack, no buy. But hey, it comes with an AeroActive Cooler on every RoG Phone 3 and it has a headphone jack so overear headphones like ATH-M50X still has a use and I disregard those cheap earbuds, they shouldn't exist and all phone users should have wired studio headphones from Sennheiser, Audio Technica, AKG, Beyerdynamic and other audiophile centric companies just to boycott the likes of Beats by Dre.
AeroActive Cooler still has a headphone jack. I refuse to use dongles. I don't want to waste a USB-C slot for keeping the dongle in at all times like what Apple intends us to use.

Just carrying your phone around in cold and warm temperatures, does damage. Your body gives off moisture that can effect the phone.

So besides the headset jack...this one probably won't support verizon either.
So between those two major things...its just not worth it.
Then there is the nitpicks of non expandable storage and no option of QHD resolution.

Never again will I get another phone without a headphone jack.
Once is enough. Hone through two adapters. When bluetooth devices die or or i dont have the adapter im just sol.
There is a quality difference I was able to notice immediately comparing the note 9 and the note 10 between standard jack and adapter.
And my charge port is already a little messed up from that now.
And all for zero benefit to me. Bluetooth is not better, the battery is only supposedly 1% bigger for the removal of it. And phones only got more expensive for it. Not cheaper.

For me, I never cared about IP ratings cause even when phones don't have them, I never had, in my life any phone that spoil on me. The ones I have problem is usually due to software issues and that is back in the era of flip phones.
Personally I do heavy gaming on my phone as I can do it during my traveling time to work etc. I never liked how other phones tend to heat up bad and it causes me usually to not use any phone case as it keeps my phone warm. I had the ROG II and my god do I love that phone. The only issue I have with ROG III is no earphone jack. In a way, it spoils my experience as I cannot use the wired earphones I have for gaming. (Yes, I treat sound latency issue very seriously as I do play music game).

AnonD-940827, 20 Aug 2020Who cares? It's not weather sealed. Well first of all, I care. Heat management is one of the most important things for me in a phone, if it means no throttling.
Second, you clearly didn't watch the video, because JerryRig shows there's non-IP rating seals to prevent splashes of water from seeping inside.
