Anonymous, 22 Aug 2020Why use a different app from an unknown app developer who may install malware with their apps?Strawman; reputable apps from well known developers certainly exist. I take your lame deflection attempt as confirmation that the storage space taken up by the pre-installed apps cannot be reclaimed through ordinary means.

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2020AOD is available only on Xperia flagships. Mid-rangers do not get it, unlike other brands. And... moreAOD is a midrange feature now?? Lmao. First you complained that Xperia doesnt have AOD. Then you changed your argument that you are talking about midrange xperia under flagship xperia comment section. I mean are you alright?? You are in denial.

Fun Fact: AOD isn't a thing until OLEDs became thing since past 3-4 years (I know samsung using OLED since beginning but the tech is only improved in recent years). OnePlus itself did not have AOD on their flagship until a week back may be?? And here you don't know what to argue, so just shouting that AOD is midrange feature. Btw all xperias have LED notification lights unlike your so called AOD midrangers. So there's no point of AOD on any Xperia devices but flagships get it anyway.

Now to the ads, who's talking about ads coming with the features?? The phone itself coming with ads in UI. Example: S20 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra 1500€ smartphone has ads in notification bar. I can't even name those chinese clone (clown) smartphones. Prove me wrong instead of passing those statements. It's not me who's living in la la land. It's you. You obviously don't care about your data/privacy.

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2020Maybe because Xperia phones have no built-in AOD, secret folder, password management software,... moreThe 1st sony to have an OLED panel was XZ3 where they also have their 1st always on display.

They have all the means to be at the top but it seems like they don't want to compete with other manufacturers.

YUKI93, 20 Aug 2020What do they mean by "SIM-free"? Is that another word for Unlocked?SIM-free means buying the hardware without it being tied to a SIM for service; i.e. BYOS - Bring Your Own SIM. Unlocked just means the device is not software-tied to a specific carrier. In Canada all devices are required to be sold unlocked, but the scummy carriers charge significantly more than MSRP/manufacturer direct pricing if you don't take a contract - so most people buy unlocked phones, but they are not SIM-free.

Every Sony article is a place for people to express their thoughts, opinions, love, hate, feelings and end up fighting with each other. Seeing a great product from Sony was one in the eyes of them. Additionally, many are brainwashed with high specs Chinese smartphones. If something is too expensive, they will use them as a tool to mock it. In short, people are jealous :P
