If you want same quality photos and vids and privacy, then flip up

If you want a more conventional phone, then ud camera.

I say flip cams are better than pop ups because if both motors fail, you can still manually flip it while you can't just manually easily open the pop up camera.

There's also dual display option for same quality photos and videos.

I don't care about selfie camera at all, I use it only for a sporadic video call. Therefore I don't care about the photo/video quality it makes. Anything will be better than those stupid cutouts, notches or even moving mechanisms.

Flip up and pop up are the best right now I may be in the minority but I absolutely LOVE the Lenovo Legion Duel/Pro's implementation of it the most because people hold their phones in portrait view anyway for selfies so on the side makes all the sense in the world and thus maintains all the privacy that in-display doesn't give you.

Cummins, 23 Aug 2020GSMArena, I have to say, this is a pretty stupid poll. When we haven't seen any pictures ... moreABSOLUTELY!!!! Without any photo/video evaluated by experts (most important of all), nobody can say something.....

My personal favorite is an old-fashioned thin bezel, like on Meizu 16s.

But to pick between flip-up cam and an under-screen one... I honestly don't like either of those, but flip-up cam is a lesser evil, mainly for privacy purposes. Under-screen selfie camera is an absolute privacy nightmare and I'm definitely going to try to avoid it in my next purchases.

Nothing should degrade the display experience. Notches ruined the symmetry, holes put a literal hole and if under display actually reduced the picture quality it would be terrible. Bring back the bezels, it's nice to have some room to hold your phone comfortably without covering the display.

Flip up. Slide up. And pop up are all ugly ugly ugly. Hole punch is best option currently by far

Go back to the old Nokia days. Put a mirror which has the same focal length of the main camera, and then have a low resolution bigger pixel front camera just for video calling / conference.

What sort of question is this? Of course under display ones are much better. First they dont take space on the screen, so no issues there. Secondly nobody takes selfies, so why are they there? Thirdly, their quality will be much superior to normal one's, or at least just better, as they will have enough space to fit all the lenses there, and put some more, and just a thin layer of screen on top. My question is where will they put the touch zone? Idk how touchscreens works but I imagine it needs some sort of sensor that would cover the camera. In the end, if they're not more expensive than a car, great addition

People are not understanding these innovations. Yes, we do not need these, but we also do not need more than 1 pair of shoes, we just all WANT other pairs for CONVENIENCE, that's what these innovations are for. I'm not here for all these gimmicks as well, but let's be honest, we will be using it anyway once they 'perfect' it

Give me a flagship with the newest most powerful hardware.! No front camera. Just a point and shoot back camera. Max 1080p resolution oled. Small bezels all around the flat and 100% square screen, for better protection availability.

But ok, no big company can give me the perfect phone. Even if paid 50 million $ for it.

notafanboy, 23 Aug 2020Definitely not better because the quality is crap. I'd still take a small top chin (😂) li... moreI'll gladly take a forehead and chin, for a selfie camera as good as the main camera, bonus 3D/AR camera, and powerful front-facing stereo speakers.
