I purchased and returned multiple sets and no longer have any due to this issue. I had a similar issue with a half dozen Pixel 2 phones and one Google Home Mini. For some reason, they push out products with terrible audio issues.

It's not worth except for it's design. It's just a hyped up product. I used it. trust me.
