Most content is 60 fps, 48 fps (cinema 24p displayed twice, & HFR cinema), or 30 fps. Even mobile games rarely support beyond 60 fps.

120hz on a phone is complete waste of battery life as you get zero benefit from it, so not a big deal, bigger deal iphone should not cost any more for this reason and should keep prices way below to iphone 11

Iphone is now just a name because they're not improving it's quality from 8 plus and still a way behind from other phones like refresh rate, notch and heating issue and ram and panel and resolution and they should also give a finger print at side button and charging is more slow than a turtle :D

You shouldn’t buy a phone by today’s standards. You should think ahead by 2 years. In recent poll by gsmarena most people are keeping smartphones for 3 years. If you buy iphone 12 with 60hz, you will definitely feel regret next year when apple will bring 120hz. Regarding 60hz to 120hz. The jump is huge. I can feel huge difference in 60-90hz in my 7T. I have a 165hz monitor and I can never go back to 60hz, the difference Is obviously huge. Apple gives it in ipad pro, go check it out, it is superior, end of the story. There are many many modern games that support 120hz and the list is growing every day. Google it. I can’t wait to replace my ipad 6th gen with the upcoming ipad air 4. Ill buy it only if they give HRR. Otherwise will save more to get the new pro.

If you don’t have proper knowledge you shouldn’t talk about that. These are the list of games that support high refresh rate. PUBG and Fortnite, the two most popular games already support 90hz exclusively on oneplus devices. Pubg is also going to bring this to all the devices by october this year.

Hello Life, 24 Aug 2020It makes a world of difference. Not only scrolling, gaming and overall the phone feels a lot faster.90Hz is enough.

Only simple or outdated games run at 120Hz (fps). Nearly no current Esports games play at that framerate. Other than that it just gives you a smooth scrolling experience but drains battery quickly.

I see no point in 120Hz panels. Though 60Hz is pedestrian by today's standards.

iPhone is always playing catch up with Android devices. And it seems the catch up is going to get longer and longer. It's really sad too see the company that once led innovation is now struggling with it. They can't even get rid of the notch so I'm not surprised if they still stick to 60hz mediocre screen on the 12.
