I said Sony used 120Hz panels locked at 60Hz. I did not say sony mobiles have 120hz refresh rates enabled. Please read my comment with open eyes again.

This is so dumb. 2 trilion dollars company still using 20 years old 60Hz panel on their $1000+ smartphones. Anyways I'm still excited for their budget iphone 12 with 5G and $700 price.

Probably ... moreiPhones at $2000 (in my place) and Apple stock at $500 upwards not for nothing!!🤣🤣🤣 You don’t have that luxury in the Android world giving soothing defence against such situations

+ Sony not using 120Hz in their phones (even if the screen is capable of it), show only the lack of development and another hardware/software related issue that Sony was not able to crack.

The supply issue being, lack of competent developers.

Hello Life, 24 Aug 2020It makes a world of difference. Not only scrolling, gaming and overall the phone feels a lot faster.120Hz on smartphone has really no use at least for today's standard. There are hardly any games which support 90Hz, let alone 120hz lmao. People should stop dreaming that HRR is useful on smartphone (for now). The only benefit I see today is while scrolling. That's the only place you will notice a difference between 60Hz and 120Hz. If you give 60Hz and 120Hz separately to a guy on different days, He will barely able to tell you what is what.

In the end, if you prefer battery life and slimmer mobiles. 120Hz is really useless. Even if there are games that support 120Hz on mobile, who plays those games only on mobile. They definitely will prefer console or PC.

Anonymous, 24 Aug 2020neither sony or rwzer dont have 120"hz they havw now in 2020 you live under rock It was proven on XDA forums that Sony has been using 120Hz panels for their Flagships since 2016?? But they were locked at 60Hz all the time to control battery life. There are also some experiments where it was noticed that Sony pushes the frames /refresh rate higher than 60Hz while gaming.
                              So your argument is invalid.

Anonymous, 24 Aug 2020Bionz is photo stuff. Also is just software on Xperia, while image chip on Alpha. X1 Extreme... moreI don't know what part of this makes you think Sony is not using image chip in their mobiles.

                                1. "The X1® for mobile engine brings BRAVIA HDR remaster technology to everything you watch. Even streaming content will have more contrast, color, and clarity."
                                2. The BIONZ X® for mobile engine has a unique algorithm developed by Sony, for increased light sensitivity and images with less noise.

Clearly X1 is a chip and not just software unless you forgot to read English. Also it is not just for photo stuff. Don't read half half and spread lies.

You talk if it’s android the first introduced 120hz and forget that the first 120hz introduced first by iPad Pro back in 2017, android OEM’s just bring 120hz for android phones just to make as smooth as iPhone with 60hz and yet one plus 8 pro lags when using 120hz qhd scrolling lol.

On tablet or PC there is a huge difference.
